Four fighters come to the roster… again technically! Meet the first four Echo Fighters for Lawl Beatdown! Enjoy these four simpler sets for the price of one!

Damn, an unexpected four echoes in one while making most things very dark toned. Eduardo was however a hilarious concept.
Chara was expected.
Ellen was DEFINITELY not expected. :D
Omggggg this was such a nice showcase! All of the 4 echoes shown here are so interesting and so unique from the originals, and man, I absolutely adored the lore here. More information below because gushing about it will make me spoil these characters:
Okay so yeah, the LORE IS SO GOOD. I feel this is a sort of late Halloween special because it had such a dark and grim atmosphere, and the idea of those evil versions living inside some of the characters I feel will give a lot of room for interesting interactions. Specially with their idea to partner with Eduardo.
On to the movesets themselves, it was a good time! Chara of course was nice because you didn't just copy and paste Frisk's NO MERCY moveset, but instead gave her tweaks and changes to make her more unique. I specially loved the Neutral B giving you two cuts with the knife as a reference to the battle with Sans (and having Sans in his stage from Soul too!).
Ellen was quite unique as well as, unlike other Mirrors/Echoes, rather than removing the mechanic of the original entirely, you kept it but gave it different uses. With Neutral B and Side B, she's got plenty of stage control that can make even the cuter stage into a Witch House! My only downside is that I would have liked to see Down B in action, even if it were briefly like what you did with Chara.
Then, my favorite, Darkiplier! It's funny because I haven't watched much of Markiplier, and his moveset was not even one of my personal favorites from Beatdown, but something about his Dark Echo Fighter really makes me want to main him. Maybe it's because it is just so different from the original, with a very cool bread-and-butter combo with Neutral and Down B, maybe it's the legit creepyness of the character, maybe it's those cool effects he has all the times. Whatever the case, he is insanely cool.
Finally there's Eduardo, the least spooky out of the team, but still a very nice moveset. Much like with the other Eddsworld characters, you can completely deduce his personality just based out of the moveset: It's someone who tries to be better than Edd by doing more or less the same things and being cocky about it. He reminds me a little bit to Gary Oak, which is fitting given he's in Beatdown too. His music and Final Smash were also really fitting and well chosen.
I also really liked to see new things for the older characters, such as Markiplier's improved victory pose, Viola's sprites from the remake being shown a lot, and, for a more recent example, showing Edelgard alongside Kiran (which makes me happy bc that means the Three Houses characters will be in there aaaaaa). Oh, and showing off the Echoes fighting themselves on the KO segments was so lit too!!!! Overall I loved this

The actual, best character in this, please note the whole video was equally badass throughout and more than worth the wait, or well, more like the best expansion to a character: -Za- The World Building. There is no half assing nor misuse of characters, everyone totally feels like they’re in the same room/ plain of reality. I love that sense of dread, the bone chilling eeriness that you carefully, seamlessly pieced together. Honeybee said before and I’ll repeat her: Could’ve been a phenomenal Halloween video, but it’s still malevolently marvelous, man.
Before getting to the echoes themselves, I’ve gotta say real quick. Fockin’ topnotch job with all the other new extras. Both Spinel and Ruby’s idles are like just so, so eye pleasing. The scarlet scythe wielder being one of my all time favorites in, well, in all of Lawl to be honest! The new stages also make for some sweet eye candy too. There’s what I assume is some kinda version of the Nether, which has a solid, bright layout, and a stage that’s perfectly Dark for good old Mark (for that, you get choccy milk).
Out of all the echoes here, there’s 3 out of 4 that I’d love to play just as much if not more than the originals. Chara, the first to be revealed def being one of ‘em. Her more brutal, slow approach is something I can get behind easier long term gameplay wise and her Up Special having multiple angles to it def being a helpful trick. Ooo, and the knife is a real cut above what Frisk could’ve done prior. You also did a rad job giving her a bit more personality which is always appreciated like with her taunts and Screen KO. It’ll be too bad for players who want a friendly match, cause when it comes time to play Chara, count on me to be *R u t h l e s s*
Anywho! Ellen, the “owner” of the Witch’s House is……..
K I’m gonna be honest, haven’t played Violas source game and I don’t know if I will anytime soon, but…
She turned out to be my favorite of the group.
I love, love, love to see more horror characters gaining a new home in Lawl spinoffs, and Ellen more than fits that bill. Thankfully, a hot bowl of insta ramen was able to help me warm up from her bone chilling kit. I don’t know if you intended it or not, but it seems like whereas Viola represents the means and strategies to getting around the houses deadly traps, Ellen is or reps the houses means of insuring a grizzly game over. In the house, every corner could potentially lead to a death trap, and that intense pressure is captured wonderfully here. One Eye Open, my most favorite move being a fine display of that raw fear and power. Then there’s the Final Smash which is… fuck man. Thank god this isn’t a real game, otherwise that would’ve been a nightmare to try to survive against. Thank you for letting your passion and care for Witch’s House shine once more, I’m certain the effort was more than worth it.
On a lighter or well, darker note, Darkiplier was who I thought was gonna be my favorite going in. I fell in love with this side of the guy ever since his feud with Antisepticeye (the bloopers especially helping) and of course as The Squirrel King’s Final Smash. The part I really dug the most, aside well, that insanely cool Up Special and delightfully devilish strat showed by mixing Down Special and Neutral, was that throwback to Markipliers moveset which, gosh feels like so long ago. It’s shown that Beatdown is aging like a fine wine, becoming more mature and ripe with fresh tasting ideas and fanfare. Oh, speaking of wine, something that goes great with dinner, thanks for not only reminding me that I needed to see, but for using a Date With Markiplier to make this all flow together smoothly.
Not much else to say on Darki expect- OH GOD, CHICA NO 0_0

Alright then, onto the last echo. Oh. Hells. Yeah! Eduardo is too good to not be Edd’s rival here. His moveset much like the others is such a fine, alternative spin to the original casts. It’s reeeeeeal clear who Eduardo is trying to be as good if not as better as, and his desire to be the best asap is reflected nicely in his Rushdown playstyle. My fav move which I like almost as much as Edd’s being the paintings, which’ll help a lot when keeping players in their place. Out of all the echos here though, he’s… probably the one I wouldn’t want to play as much as Edd. Why? Well it’s not for the creative specials nor his wonderfully cocky personality. It’s that DIET COKE IS INFERIOR, ORIGINAL ALL THE WAY BAYBEEEEEES.
Ahem, well then, that’s it then uwu;;
Once again, all that hard work, and dedication, and thought to interactions. It’s all huuugely appreciated. I hope you’re satisfied with, and are proud with how this turned out. I and I’m certain many other loyal viewers are now more than excited to see where the lore of this Lawl goes, especially with what’ll happen to Eduardo and the dark sides joining together. These shadowy figures, seemingly working for an even darker presence, it’s, it’s all so exciting! Casting wise, Beatdown’s waaaaay up there in terms of just how fun it is to follow everyone. Can’t wait to see who else joins up, especially with what looks like a certain freakin’ scumbag that’s so much fun to hate there at the end.
Good to see both Beatdown, and that certain, powerful looking trinket too again, my dude.

I really liked the whole presentation and showcase of the four new echo fighters shown off!
- I like how Chara's Neutral B implements the sword meter behind when the attack is done, giving her an extra opportunity to deal an extra blow. Additionally, I liked how the FS has an indirect effect on opponents by disabling traps and weakening summonable characters rather than directly dealing damage to them.
- Ellen implementing the hazards and traps of The Witch's House is really neat, particularly with the Neutral B that can vary depending on how much Souls she's collected and activating it whenever someone approaches her, and the FS that adds obstacles to an opponent's path as Ellen hunts them down.
- For Darkiplier, I liked the aesthetic changes (such as a frame of him glitching out a bit) to represent his more sinister nature as well as the bizarre regulars (like a bigger version of himself covered in red spawning behind him).
- Eduardo was one of my favorite ones, with his moves adding extra bonuses to Edd's original moves, such as his Neutral B acting as both a boost and projectile reflector at the same time. His victories were also really funny, which helped him ensure he wouldn't be in second place today!
Grandma was found almost dead in an alleyway, but Shadbad uploaded, so that's gonna have to wait.
Anyways, here are my thoughts that you didn't ask for:
For general comments, I felt that your standards were beautiful, and the way you handled the KO segment made me feel like someone in heaven is answering my prayers when it comes to this stuff. For a few things I question what the actual, unassisted knockback is (launching from 0%).
I enjoyed Chara, even if I'm slightly put off by the fact that she dealt 40% of damage while showing off a single special, I mean, in context it's a fine scene, but when I see a percentage go over 30 it scares me. For Side B, that crap about endlag means nothing to me when I can't tell when the move ends.
For Ellen you attributed neutral B's footage to ManlyBadassHero, so this moveset is perfect no matter what I find wrong with it. It physically hurt to think about using that Up B as a recovery That lose screen text was neutral evil. I don't know how you got all of her animations, though, I don't recall her having prominent legs at any point. Is this why it's been a while? Because you've been slaving away to give Ellen legs and eyes?
Dark was exceptional, although I'm not too familiar with what Mark does. Also, his victory screens reminded me of ARL, which is honestly understandable considering the nature of the character. When are we getting a moveset for The King of the Squirrels? Speaking of, is Mark's moveset changing, or is it like "this is representing an older version of the character,"?
Edd-wuar-dough(guitar riff)... was amazing, save for *ahem* _the obvious._ I love the PowerEdd representation, although rather than just turning into a superhero, he could blow up his satellite dish for a hitbox at the beginning and then turn into a superhero. Also Up B could've been the poltergeist from Hammer and Fail grabbing him and reaching for a ledge, but what you went with is fine, as long as you confirm that the can is replaced with a Diet Coke can.
That's all I have to say, and despite all the negatives I had to offer, this made it so that I am no longer eligible for No Nut November.

Super excited for Echo fighters vol. 2!
It's finally here!!! I've been dying to see these echo fighters for a long time and I was definitely not disappointed! The character interactions in the lore were top notch and I was glad to see some sprite improvements for Markiplier. Now onto the sets:
I'm happy you managed to pull off Chara's set without feeling like a copy Frisk's NO MERCY mode. Nothing too much to say about her except the fact that her animations were incredibly pleasing to see and I liked the use of cameos in her set especially sans undertale funnie man.
Ellen is someone who I'm entirely familiar with out of the four echo fighters in this showcase, but I still enjoyed her set nonetheless. I liked how Ellen's specials represent the spooky stuff that happens in the mansion that Viola must face and it's pleasing to the new sprites from Witch's house in action!
Darkiplier was easily my favourite set. I genuinely did not expect to see him as an echo for Mark due to the fact he was Mark's final smash. His specials felt faithful to Marki poo's dark side and the glitches and static-ness in his animations were a very nice touch. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT best final smash, definite main.
I knew Eduardo would be an echo for Edd and I'm glad that actually happened. I like how instead of being an All-rounder, he tries to fighter better than Edd by taking on a more rushdown approach.
The music picks for his sets were nice.
Overall, this was a spectacular showcase! From the echoes, to the stages and improved animations and sprites! Extremely looking forward to what you have planned for the future!

These are some daaaang good Echo fighters! All of them feel very different from each other, and seeing characters like Markiplier again was a real treat since we get to see some new sprites and moves, even if they're being shown off by echo fighters.
The lore building up has me interested though; are these dark variants somehow going to strike out on their own and form their own mischief group within the Mansion, separate from Dio and the Heroes of Askr? I'm looking forward to what comes of this! This was some darn good quality animation, it was very much worth the wait; nice job Shad! \o/
Additional comment; holy CRAP Darkiplier looks incredible! His glitchy animations, all of his attacks and taunts are smooth, and he's packed with so many good references and style. Easily up there as one of my new favorite characters in your roster just because of that visual style alone!

Quick question, Darkiplier is a great echo, probably my favorite of the bunch, but if he’s Mark’s Echo, then what was the deal with E randomly appearing in Gary’s moveset?

Sick movesets! I personally enjoyed Darkiplier’s the best. Though I have two questions:
1: Now that Chara and Darkiplier are echos, does that mean Frisk and Markipler will be getting new final smashes (And Mark getting a new taunt to replace his Darkipler one)?
2: Why were there no percentages on the HUDs during Eduardo’s section?
