Don Lee is a rare kind of actor who breaks stereotypes. Usually someone with his looks and physique gets relegated to supporting roles - but after his performance in Train to Busan was so phenomenal, it totally sidelined the lead actor.
This gave rise to the concept of using Don Lee as a lead actor as someone capable of brawling and winning. And in the present era of cinema where fans favor movies that use realism, seeing a burly and built guy beat the living shit out of entire gangs is a lot more believable than some martial arts expert.
