After having watched both parts: excellent TIHYDP. Plenty of priceless moments with some fun but composed edits. I personally get rather tired with those videos where the author injects their own commentary or some overused meme clips for every 10 seconds.

Not to defend DSP but it looks like he prob pressed the dodge button when he got hit, but how imput delay works in the Soul Series is if you press a button then you get hit before your character can do it, it will happen as soon as your in the netural animation again.
There is nothing wrong with being level 100+ in any Souls game to all the nitpickers, but Phil is absolutely sickening and I watch Ludwig wreck in him Bloodborne as a weekly ritual lol.
Especially in this game, it is soooo easy to get to level 100 before lighting the second primal bonfire. Like, you must lose tons of souls regularly to not get there. I also love watching Ludwig have his way with Phil lol
I think I had like soul level 130 by the end of DS2. Because I'm bad, but I still didn't die as much as Phil does. And yes Ludwig destroying Phil is amazing.

Not gonna lie, I agree with Phil on the Old Iron King DLC. It's just full of rooms, packed full with an unfair number of enemies, where you either have to cheese them or just have to get lucky to survive. The best example is the Iron Passage, which is just not fun. There is creative stuff in this DLC, and good bosses, but the way the levels and the enemy placement is designed really isn't great or fun.
Lala Nada Nah, the game gives you plenty of options to deal with the enemies. The Iron Passage is the only "unfair" part in the DLC, but it's meant to played coop anyway, so I don't view it as critically as I might should.

He would have been, had he not resorted to blatantly cheating at 32:00. There's no way he legitimately collected 99 petrified somethings and 99 seeds of the tree of giants, nor had enough hp to only take about 1/5th lifebar's worth of dmg from Phil's backstab. As much as I hate to be forced to take Phil's side, in this case, it's unfortunately necessary.

Beats bosses in five hits that are supposed to take 30 and laughs how easy it is even though I haven't seen anything close to a clean fight from him. And I'm not really a hater.

The easiest answer to that is to go offline. You want to summon friends? The game balances it out with invaders. There are still AI phantoms you can summon and scripted invaders that you cannot avoid of course. But if you want a human player to help you and make things easy as shit, then deal with the invaders. I'm speaking as both an active invader and as a person who had also been invaded before. Also, DSP is a fucking idiotic scrublord. He can't even win without using cheesy ways. His lack of skills even after playing this series for so long, his nonstop whining that the game is too fucking hard for him and has to have the twitch chat hold his hand is what makes us as a community look down on him.

DSP is the kind of guy that grinds, gets disgustingly overleveled, searches for the most OP builds the game has to offer, cheeses whenever he can and still tries to skip enemies that he could easily kill if had an ounce of patience, and after getting overwhelmed and killed, he complains that the game is unfair, devs didn't know what their doing, camera sucks, the same old bs.
I can't help but get angry when he kills normally-difficult bosses and enemies in just a few tries because he has overpowered gear. He didn't even find that gear or come up with that build himself, he just read the stream chat and then spammed R2. I hope someone can convince him to do a truly blind run of Elden Ring, just so I'll have something to laugh at before he inevitably gives up and starts scrolling rapidly through the chat for help.
I'm no fan of Phil's, but I disagree with people getting mad that he exploits power stancing and cheesy armor to make the game easier. I mean, it's not like he's ACTUALLY cheating. That stuff is in the game and is being used the intended way. It makes it significantly easier but it's designed that way. He goes on a rant in the first TIHYDP from this series where he says something to that effect. There's no "right" or "wrong" way to play.
Some people out there make runs specifically for those type of builds,but if you search their dark souls playlist you can find that they've done some sort of challenge runs.I'm not against someone who wants to have "fun" while playing the game;the problem here isn't the cheesy build he did choose, but the heavy reliance on a third party AKA "stream chat" which reflects of how much DSP doesn't really want to learn the game,let alone have any patience to sit there and think of a build that suits his style on his own.

About... oh... 35% through this video is when Phil starts to get really obviously annoyed that he's getting hit. He started tanking and doing all that damage and at that point he just can't do that as much anymore. It's Dick Lightning getting nerfed all over again. He complains that he takes damage from things that don't hit him... when they clearly hit him every time. He just starts to fall apart so quickly in all the Soulsborne games.

Isn't the fume knight going to phase immediately, because Phil wore the armor of Velstadt? I'm not one, who thinks, chat should help him more, but instead of telling him how to play, this would have been an interesting information. You can only know this, if you see the boss two times with different armors (yeah, he played it some years ago, but if you don't play it again, I don't think, anyone would remember, that the Fume Knight didn't start with this phase, especially when Dark Souls 2 bosses mostly only have one phase).

25:05 He's trying to delegitimize the invader's victories against him because whyyounopancake might be overleveled. Yet if someone suggests that he's overleveled, which he clearly is, and therefore the playthrough sucks, he gets toxified.
The room in the castle with all the ruin sentinels in the little rooms is a great place to take advantage of the fact that you can kill enemies enough that they won't respawn anymore, just open one closet at a time and farm that ruin sentinel until he is gone for good (they have sweet looking armor so it's kinda worth it just on that regard).

I actually forgot about that frustrated rule but I usually quit games in general if I get too frustrated. I find it hard believe he manages to make progress despite always being mad at the game. Like I don't know how he can play a game over and over and get mad at it and still play. I usually have to quit after starting to get a bit too frustrated then going back to it the next day or later on in the day. Also, when you take a break, you maybe look up strategies or think about how you can survive an area or level in a game. Phil seems to do none of that at all which amazes me to death
Also, I do kinda feel bad for phil with all the invasions. They can be really annoying especially when he's already struggling with an area and people come into his game to troll him; it can be funny sometimes, and sometimes you don't mind even if you die, but these people were doing it just to piss him off. Granted, he shoulda just went into offline mode.

DSP is the kind of guy that grinds, gets disgustingly overleveled, searches for the most OP builds the game has to offer, cheeses whenever he can and still tries to skip enemies that he could easily kill if had an ounce of patience, and after getting overwhelmed and killed, he complains that the game is unfair, devs didn't know what their doing, camera sucks, the same old bs.

I can't help but get angry when he kills normally-difficult bosses and enemies in just a few tries because he has overpowered gear. He didn't even find that gear or come up with that build himself, he just read the stream chat and then spammed R2. I hope someone can convince him to do a truly blind run of Elden Ring, just so I'll have something to laugh at before he inevitably gives up and starts scrolling rapidly through the chat for help.

I love how Phil thinks he can outrun the giant crystal lightning horses on foot.
I'm no fan of Phil's, but I disagree with people getting mad that he exploits power stancing and cheesy armor to make the game easier.
I mean, it's not like he's ACTUALLY cheating. That stuff is in the game and is being used the intended way. It makes it significantly easier but it's designed that way. He goes on a rant in the first TIHYDP from this series where he says something to that effect.
There's no "right" or "wrong" way to play.
Some people out there make runs specifically for those type of builds,but if you search their dark souls playlist you can find that they've done some sort of challenge runs.I'm not against someone who wants to have "fun" while playing the game;the problem here isn't the cheesy build he did choose, but the heavy reliance on a third party AKA "stream chat" which reflects of how much DSP doesn't really want to learn the game,let alone have any patience to sit there and think of a build that suits his style on his own.

About... oh... 35% through this video is when Phil starts to get really obviously annoyed that he's getting hit. He started tanking and doing all that damage and at that point he just can't do that as much anymore. It's Dick Lightning getting nerfed all over again.

I have watch both vids on dks2 now and it is just a miracle how bad phil really is at these games. He has been powerstancing all the way through and never once did it cross his mind that 2 swings took his entire stamina bar,, also when he was not PS he kept attacking with left hand lol...

Isn't the fume knight going to phase immediately, because Phil wore the armor of Velstadt? I'm not one, who thinks, chat should help him more, but instead of telling him how to play, this would have been an interesting information. You can only know this, if you see the boss two times with different armors (yeah, he played it some years ago, but if you don't play it again, I don't think, anyone would remember, that the Fume Knight didn't start with this phase, especially when Dark Souls 2 bosses mostly only have one phase).

The rapier is one of the few weapons you can parry with while powerstancing and he didn't fucking parry once.
Phil has the reflexes of a rock. "Timing" attacks and Parries might as well be impossible for him.
I've seen Phil parry once by accident. He didn't know what happened and ran away like a bitch.

I don't think he's ever parried in a Souls game ever. Even in Bloodborne he sucked at it, if I remember correctly he started using the cannon once he got that.

The room in the castle with all the ruin sentinels in the little rooms is a great place to take advantage of the fact that you can kill enemies enough that they won't respawn anymore, just open one closet at a time and farm that ruin sentinel until he is gone for good (they have sweet looking armor so it's kinda worth it just on that regard).
That what I did, one ruin sentinel is easy, multiple are frustrating as hell

I actually forgot about that frustrated rule but I usually quit games in general if I get too frustrated. I find it hard believe he manages to make progress despite always being mad at the game. Like I don't know how he can play a game over and over and get mad at it and still play. I usually have to quit after starting to get a bit too frustrated then going back to it the next day or later on in the day. Also, when you take a break, you maybe look up strategies or think about how you can survive an area or level in a game. Phil seems to do none of that at all which amazes me to death

They can be really annoying especially when he's already struggling with an area and people come into his game to troll him; it can be funny sometimes, and sometimes you don't mind even if you die, but these people were doing it just to piss him off.
