It's shocking to imagine a giant object spinning at such a tremendous speed. How scary would it be to see them nearby...?
you would probably be sucked in instantly because of its tremendously high compacted mass gives it a massive pull more powerful that some black holes i think and the speed its spinning at will have an effect on it because black holes have to spin nearly at the speed of light to keep together
i can't stand it when i warp to pulsars in Elite Dangerous without prior knowledge
Neutron stars on average are only the size of a city
@@properlyoiled661 That’s still a pretty large object spinning around dozens or hundreds of times in one second. I can’t really wrap my head about any object spinning around a few hundred times per second. Even something small like a golf ball.
Any type of neutron star isn’t actually that big, most neutron stars are normally the size of a city, yet they would doom an solar system.
1:28 dam this beat sounds so fire ngl 🔥
its confirmed, stars can beatbox

The sound of the last pulsar actually creeped me out a lot. Especially on the parts where it sounded like an interstellar demon was laughing at us.
It's like someone is playing drums
@Zenknt Sounds like a giant cosmic Gong.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
The last one was sampled from a video released in 2013 (czcams.com/video/mBXLqVfHuDg/video.html), which isn't representative of the actual sound it makes.
It Actually wasn’t a pulsar. It was a magnetar. I wonder how it made that sound

Pulsars are able to have own planetary system, which means days on their planets will be an epileptic light show, while weather being heavy "rain" of extreme radiation. You'd hate to see such "sun" rise from horizon in the morning.
DaxMarko my favorite comment on all of CZcams
Every day its "aw shit, here we go again"
Worse than the screaming sun in Rick and Morty.
If you was invincible then it would be amazing
scary as fuck waking up in the morning to the worlds fastest and brightest strobe light with the mass almost as big as a black hole, and shit man there might be life near these fucking things
The First Pulsar is like a heart beating
It’s me walking in a mine of minecraft
no it sounds like someone stepping on wood
It sounds like someone is knocking on the door. And pretty sure this star was predicted in the Quran 1400 years ago. In Surah Al- tariq. If you wanna know, tariq literally means someone who knocks on the door

My favourite is LGM 1, the first ever pulsar discovered. It sounds literally like a heartbeat, so eerie yet beautiful
I thought the first ever pulsar detected was the crab pulsar in the crab nebula?
They act so regularly that they are more accurate than any known atomic clock.
@@thefalsebaconingThe Crab Pulsar was big in the initial confirmation of what pulsars were, but the first time a pulsar was properly documented was LGM1 or PSR B1919+21.
It was spotted by Jocelyn Bell Burnell, and she and her supervisor studied it further, confirming it's existence, but they did not present the exact mechanism of how it worked.
The Crab Neutron Star is where it was better discovered how these pulses were produced.

What's crazy about this is that these radio signals had been traveling to us for our satellites to detect for TENS OF THOUSANDS of years.

I'm pretty sure most of the sounds in this video are just random noises. 0:10 For example, this is just someone tapping on their desk near a very bad microphone, each slap sounds different.

In the holy Quran ,this star is called (AtTariq) meaning the knocker . There’s a whole chapter #86 that’s named after this star. Allah calls it the knocker and describes it as the star with piercing brightness . The early Arab interpreters interpreted the word Tariq as the night comer ,which is another meaning of it. The verb taraqa ( hence the noun Tariq) means to knock on a door or to hammer )

😇 All Pulsars are working in some factory, you can here some background machine sound !
I don’t know why but I have always loved listening to these
1:03 just so you know that pulsar is spinning over 170 times a second
But 1:20
I think it's spinning like 1/7 speed of light so
1:20 is actually rotation 643 times per second

PSR B0329+54 is fire af
With the amount of energy a supernova produces it makes perfect sense that a neutron star would be able to spin so fast.
It is the core of the star that exploded.
Really goes to show you how much energy the universe has.
0:37 that's PSR B0833-45.
or PSR J0835-4510
or PSR J0835-4510
Some of these are pretty clean beats, I gotta use some.

They arent big. Most of them are the size of an asteroid
Not huge. Like the size of Paris lol
@@BoBo-pl3wwwell, that’s small for a star, but still enormous for a human. Significantly larger than any solid object we can really explore and comprehend the size of, like a mountain.

What you’re hearing is what remains of a giant star when the particles and neutrons hold themselves together, and instead of making a black hole, it makes a neutron star. You’re basically hearing *the giant spinning and pulsating corpse of a giant star.*
its not a corpse, it's the core
@@icczy11
The core itself is the corpse

Wow 👏
The Chandara X-ray footage of one of these is probably the only "clear" example of the jets in action we'll have for a while.
how is this even possible? spinning so fast without ripping itself apart through centrifugal force? thats insane! pls somebody explain
gravity?
Because they're sooooooo dense it's insane they don't collapse even further into a blackhole, their gravity is what keeps them together. A normal star spinning as fast as a neutron star/pulsar would tear it self a part instantly
Actually what keeps them together is the strong nuclear force not gravity any more since these things are considered enormous atom nuclie
بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
86
It is because (you won't understand😢) through the Pyhishs of speed ripping of dense objects are more than less dense objects before neutron stars rip apart they have the speed limit of 0.75 milliseconds or 1500 time spin per second so at 20+ they get a ablong shape
tremendous amount of energy being released at thousandth of a second
