It was a very surreal moment for me to see him grab the handle bars and roll on the throttle of the Raptor as he has wanted a sport quad for as long as I can remember! So for the two dozen individuals that watched this video as soon as it was uploaded I'm sure you noticed that the comments were turned off. Seeing you and your son riding quads together seriously brought a tear to my eye...I remember the days riding with my daughter in AZ but mostly teaching to ride the Glamis dunes. It truly was the best time of my life!
I can feel the emotion while reading this. Thank you for sharing that with us. And while thinking forward, I can definitely tell you that when I look back in the past to this day I will feel the same as you my brother. Seeing him excited to ride for the very first time with confidence, the moment when we first hit the road and you hear me say, "I love this" that was about as raw as it gets. He wanted a quad for so long and finally seeing him ride something that he enjoys riding and feels confident with was just so awesome.
QUADNATION 929 I know brother...enjoy it! His next quad will be a Raptor 250! You will have to find a used one but they are unbelievable! That’s what my daughter is riding in my old videos.

It was so gratifying and rewarding to not only surprise him with his very own new quad but up until now my son has never really had the desire to ride because he didn't feel comfortable on dirt bikes. But now on the Raptor he feels confident and the passion for riding is growing. Speaking of my emotions during that special moment that I shared with you guys on camera, it was just such an awesome feeling seeing him for the very first time actually enjoying the quad and this is when I saw for the first time he was experiencing the love of riding.

I keep showing my wife this i try to explain to her my childhood everyone played sports and I rode, I loved riding I use to ride the old train tracks I think our son would love this and this video shows what I mean hopefully we'll be raptor fam soon

I just got a Can Am DS 90 for my 2 kids yesterday, pretty awesome watching their excitement when I pulled up to the house with it. They wanted to ride it forever. Totally worth the money.

Thats awesome my son has a ltz80 2 stroke its fun but everytime I turn around and look out side he is riding my banshee lol its crazy he's 12 years old riding my banshee lol he likes the ltz80 but not as much as the banshee lol

I just got my son one for his birthday coming up in March, he has no clue it’s in my shed lol. Have you changed the exhaust on your sons quad since? I wasn’t looking to change it but I did ran into a couple videos on CZcams of ppl changing them. I was wondering if you changed your sons because it would be cool to change my sons but I also don’t want it to effect the quad in a bad way.

Great video this is exactly what i wanna do for my son ! Can’t afford a Polaris but I’m looking to buy something cheap maybe a Chinese 110cc quad is there any suggestions u could give me id appreciate it bro my son is only 4 so I don’t think I ne’ed an expensive first time quad
I don't know much about the Chinese quads but if it holds up as well as my Chinese Apollo dirt bike then I would say it's definitely a good buy. Also your son is not going to know the difference between an expensive quad and an inexpensive quad, he's going to be thrilled no matter what! The only suggestion I really have for you is to look over the quad and ensure that all the bolts are tight and that none appear to be backing out. That's the main thing with the Chinese machines is they create a little bit more vibration than their Japanese counterparts and with the lack of loctite a lot of the bolts on the chassis seem to back out rather quickly. That's the only issue I've ever had with my Apollo dirt bike and it's a known issue in the community. Whatever you decide to do I know your son's going to be happy! 😁

So I have the ability to ride an LTZ 400 anytime I want but I will have to search hard to find another LTR 450 to race. That's a good idea thoughbecause that would be a great video to see the difference between 50cc's and the fact that the LTR 450 is tuned a little bit more aggressively for the track.

I use to have a raptor 90 Then I bought a ds650 it's a great quad but in like 5 or 4 years the gears will mess up
I hope I don't have any problems for a long time because I just spent a lot of money on it 🤦🏼♂️ The DS650 is an amazing machine! I would love to ride one one day 😁

I had a Yamha 4zinger for my first ATV. Man things have changed lol. I did lovew that 4zinger though. Flipped it so many times and you couldn't tell.

I have a Raptor 700 with a 5 speed manual transmission. My son's is a Raptor 90 with an automatic transmission.

That's a lot of power for 13 but completely possible to harness at that age. I remember being 13 and going full send on a brand new Banshee! It was such a blast that I still remember it very clearly to this day! 🤘

If you have any feelings at all this comment is about to make you feel shitty. Initially, he was very grateful for the dirt bike. However, my son has high functioning autism and suffers from multiple things because of his condition. one such disorder he has as a result of autism is a sensory disorder. He did not respond will to the balance and sound of the loud dirt bike and as a result did not feel confident nor enjoy riding the dirt bike. This promoted me to try an ATV for him because he felt he would be more confident on 4 wheels vs two and the Raptor 90 is considerably quieter than the dirt bike, reducing the odds of him becoming overwhelmed by his sensory disorder. #DONT JUDGE SOMEONE UNTIL YOU KNOW THEM!
