Its amazing seeing you grow like crazy. Keep it up man 👍
Thanks for the review! Always helps
Please consider doing follow-up ball reviews after the break-in period and more use. Would be great to hear your opinion.
I agree
Pretty sure luke rosdahl does that
@@StefW666 yes, i know, but hearing other perspectives is beneficial
Sounds like a bearing on ice, very smooth.. since I started watching you my youth/love is coming back to me and had to look up your bowling lingo. I would start bowling again after 25 years if I had a ball, I had a rhino when I was young, and I used to be 200+ bowler. I threw a 300 when I was about 10. Damn I need a ball
Good video on a ball with strong cover. I still have my Axiom. I pin down it too but put the pin to axis at 5”.
To me this looks optics wise and reaction wise really close to my Venom Recoil. Which is my personal GOAT ball. I'm a speed dominant middle rev rate player who loves to roll it. This ball looks perfect for me.
Good luck this week!!! Glad I have Bowl TV to watch!
I love the way you move, you're not some guy. You're an awesome bowler just keep going and what you're doing never stop, everytime I watch your videos oh, you make me a better bowler
Cool tech bowling bowling ball roto grip tnt with nano technology in the bowling ball more strike hitting power at time Darren tang
Loved this video
Phase 2 is the 🐐 and this is another video that proves it. 💯
That TNT ball by Roto Grip looks great. AC/DC's TNT would be be great for that ball. I might think about this ball down the road after my Idol Helios by Roto Grip that I recently bought.
Oh yeah! Keep up the good content
Ball looks interesting. I always find it interesting when people compare balls to the goat phaze 2. Great video, as always
2 handed bowler here and I throw a pin down proton physix works great for flat and heavy
Love the color 💪🏽
When you compare this to your 🌰 ball of all time, it doesn’t look to bad. And I can totally see why you’d see one or the other. I’m happy with my Phase 2 so this one would be a down the road ball for sure!
This ball might do well on short patterns. Very controllable! Nothing flashy!!
How does it compare to the helios orange? In your opinion. And why did you go pin down again?
Have a tropical surge, trying to find something for heavier oil that will complement it and a spare ball. Any balls you recommend for that? Maybe hyped solid or something else?
Hopefully this rolls better than it did for the person on Luke roshdahls Chanel
they dont have the same speed at all to !
Kniffen has about eleventy million revs at 19mph. It is rare that these type of balls look great for him. I also believe it looked better after resetting the surface for him. What was concerning is that the hyped solid HOOKED more. It wasn't that the tnt was burning up, it just wasn't hooking.
@@donkeydiehard879 So, burning up. Got it
@@donkeydiehard879 the hyped solid is weaker. So it hooking more means that the tnt was too strong and it burnt up. If he threw a gem and it hooked off the planet? than yes, the tnt was just weak. But your evidence proved the point of the people you were against
@@donkeydiehard879 I got rid of my Hyped Solid because it hooked so much. Not what I was expecting.
I plan on using a 2 hand release and Rev the shit out of the ball. Works well with an alley ball. Is there another option for better pin action? I feel like a weight would create more spin than I can control. Stay with plastic?
Is there anyway you can do an overlay to show how the balls moves differently?
I will check it out
Nice Bowling Ball. I Wonder if This Ball Could Be Good for Bowling League
Darren, i need help, i have a black widow legend and a phase 3 as my strike balls. Im stuck standing on 35 and having to throw to the 5th. I want a weaker smooth ball so i can stand more center at least and have more play room. Recommendations?
D Tang uploads, good day
I've been having an issue lately with getting my two newest balls to make a shape i can work with, consistently. Could it be that my Phaze 4 and Mythic jackal(both pin up) are just too strong for the conditions so they're using up too much energy early on?
Would the TNT be a nice replacement for my Axiom Solid? The cores are very similar. Obviously, they will not be in the same bag. Just my Axiom is starting to crack, so I need to find a replacement. Without spending an arm and a leg for an Axiom.
I am currently looking into getting a new bowling ball and I am going to go with roto grip or storm. I currently throw a hammer statement pearl, and I throw around 18 mph. With my ball right now I need to muscle down the right side of the lane for it to hit the pocket and if I move left it doesn't have time to spin and misses low. What do you think would be a good ball for me that will actually pick up traction and hook for me without starting my ball almost in the dry. I am thinking maybe the roto grip gem but if you have any suggestions I would love to know.
Aye whatup Darren!
Love the colors of the ball. Red and orange seem to always workout well together.
I started bowling about a month or two ago and I’m currently using a Rhino, does anyone have a bowling ball recommendation? I don’t throw too hard (13-14 mph) and I’m a two handed bowler
Can you make a ball video regarding 2 handers? Like what you would recommend for typical 2 handers?
back to back posts from darren
Dynamite - Tao Cruz would be a perfect song for this ball LOL
D Tang go get 'em in INDY.
Like a good pin down stronger option to just control the pocket a bit more on short after the urethane carry down. Good peice
Hey Darren, just got to wondering about your equipment and wanted to know what kind of microphone you’re using. Maybe a list of your equipment under your videos would help a handful of people who want to create content for bowling like me. Just a suggestion, great video as always! :)
love the channel.. question id like your opinion my left side is pasralyzed so i stand at the line to throw so i have low ball speed i average anywhere from 160-170 like this i use to throw a columbia yellow dot when i was younger what ball would you recommend?
What are you looking for? I would recommend something like an electrify or maybe a tropical surge if your just looking for a benchmark
what's your avg ball speed?
How does this compare to Roto grip idol Helios?
Gents, is it possible that you can make a video about all of the terms you use? While I enjoy your videos, since I am relatively new here, it would help me gain a deeper appreciation of what you are saying. DBD - Darren’s Bowling Dictionary? Thanks!
Yo this ball looks hella sick reminds me of the brunswick seige
I’m going to see you February 20 at north rock lanes and I was wondering if I can vs you in bowling
yeh
I have a question for you. Which is the target you are looking at? Dots? Arrows? Breakpoint?
Which ball is the strongest ball out there
Hey Darren! How does the TNT compare to the OG IDOL???
Nice
How does this ball compare with Zen Master
hyped solid orrrr what lol
Do you ever mention the weights of the balls you’re using?
nice
This ball take inspiration from the house balls color next to your lanes
is the TNT similar to the IDOL?
Rolls like the old Storm Lightning. Still use that ball on occasion.
#BOOMBOOMBOOM
shape is a lil sus. for a tournament bag it could be an option for me. but id rather manipulate my ball speed to get the friction i need with a better ball motion
The ball looks kinda like a hyped solid but with a little bit lighter colors
Bring out your axiom solid … same type core tech!
This is the new axiom
Nice video. I've seen several videos of this TNT and it just looks okay at best, unfortunately.
I've noticed the same thing on the reviews I have seen as well. I wonder if a surface change would help it. I'm just learning to understand when a ball burns up early and that's what I see here. I was having that problem with my Axiom. And the Phaze II would always look better than the Axiom. I polished the Axiom and now it's much better, at least on the house shot I most frequently bowl on.
Ahh, it IS a solid sym. Been looking for an aggressive solid sym that compares to the Ultimate Inferno that I used to throw waaaaaay back in the day. To this DAY nothing has compared to it.
Might get this.
Mr Tang. Good video as always. Jesse is great with the camera and editing. Question for you. Have you considered doing an educational video series? I know you do your online coaching and stuff and you have a video on the VLS system. Obviously there are other channels to get the educational stuff from but with your audience, have you thought about it? Maybe videos on pitches, more info on VLS, surface changes, different releasing techniques, aiming, that kind of stuff.
I think it would be cool for your audience to learn from your videos then see you for coaching too. Idk, thats just me though.
I almost left a comment identical to this on his ball review a couple days ago.
I think Darren has the ability to explain things really well, if he takes his time to. More in-depth/focused content from him could really help expand his audience, as well as help his existing one.
If not him, Mikey could also be really good for that type of content!
@@malinoakley9136 maybe you’ve seen him, but Luke Rosdahl has a classroom series on ball reaction and storm has a video on drilling patterns I’m pretty sure
Im aware there are other channels that cover a lot of other aspects of bowling. Brad and Kyle do great tutorials, Storm has an entire series dedicated to their VLS, Lewis and JR have finger taping videos, so obviously all the videos are out there. But everyone has different aspects of the game. I watched a video from a random channel iv never heard of regarding generating power and rev rate and he talked about stuff iv never heard from any other channel. But in the end, Darren is a great commentator, he has a lot of knowledge, and he has great social media presence. And Jesse does great things with editing, i love watching their videos.
Keep up great work from Todd Blohm
I love your videos Darren more challenge videos please
It's probably because I don't understand the tech enough, but I'd like to know why you commented that two-handers probably don't have pin down balls. Could you explain?
GREAT content as always! Thanks, Darren!
Watch videos on storms 2ls and Mo Pinel's 2 handed layout system. The pins usually end up way above their fingers due to their PAP and track being different than 1 handers. They don't benefit from balls that are visually pin down.
Idk. A lot of the stuff I have is pin under the bridge
TNT
These colours are more uproar than anything else
Looks like Storm Fight
Is this similar to the Astro Physix?
I’ll keep the hype solid in this spot. They should release a solid with a stronger core and cover
What do you mean by stronger? They have one of the strongest balls on the market with the Gem. This looks to be a really strong symmestrical like Darren said. Cover isn't the strongest they have, but look at how controlled it is and how little it shapes. Looks pretty strong to me.
With your layout, a strong 4 of 10.
I find it weird that people seem to really like this ball but many didn't like the idol pro. They are pretty similar.
What? Core numbers are kinda close, but the Idol came shiny with a MUCH weaker cover. It's not even on the same planet as this.
@@timanders3151 What? The Idol Pro came at 3000 sheen with etrax S19 on it . . this is etrax plus . . not a huge difference at all.
I have a question for anybody. Is it possible to get a “dud” ball? I had a Global 900 Reality Check drilled to my normal specs by my same pro shop guy I always use and that ball barely moves. My league teammate has one and his just plows through pins like a tank. Mine hooks about half as much as my Phase2 and they’re drilled identically. Both are less than 2 months old. I just can’t figure out why my Reality Check has nothing to offer. I don’t even know what to do. So many people love theirs and mine sucks…lol. What would you do?
I can't throw a solid. Just dies out. Great video though
Try making adjustments
So to summarize Phaze ll still rocks. 😂
Nice ball sure dose look like tnt. Might be a Mets bring to league
Sup
Seems like both the phase 2 and the TNT you’re throwing are doing equally good but I would have to say the TNT is a little bit better than the phase 2, and considering they’re all the way up to the phase 5 lol,I use the 14 pound tropical surge by storm and then the 14 pound storm ice
Phase 2 looked better than the TNT on every shot here.
No. Phaze 2 is better, not even close.
@@TraumaER in my opinion both seemed equally good
@@RRBuilder611 well being new the tnt needed to get dialed in
TNT compared to the Idol Helios?
Almost looks like the roto grip uproar
Four!
I'm bowling with an old Roto Grip Wild Streak and have been looking for something similar for some time. If anyone knows if this is close to it or not I'd be glad to find out. My Wild Streak is just getting old and beat up so I'm looking for a replacement ball.
I’m a 2 hander with pin down bowling balls
I'm not trying to be "THAT GUY" although the thought occurred to me in a previous video you did, it would make sense to drill one pin-up and one pin-down for most of your ball reviews.
Is it better than a nuclear cell?
Layouts are too different to compare😂.
I’m looking for something to replace my nuclear sale by Roto grip
I’m a lefty two hander and my stuff is pin down
why don’t two handers have pin down layouts anymore?
Could be less energy of the ball or less hook
We technically do still have "pin down" layouts. Just doesnt look like it, ex. Storm VLS/dual angle system, pin down is below the fingers. Storm 2LS on the other hand for 2 handers/no thumb bowlers, "pin down" is above the fingers but with a pin to center of grip distance less than 4" somewhere around that. Hope this helps!
So, I’m an avid tournament golfer. I don’t watch much bowling, but I LOVE individual sports so it interests me. But I think I’m hearing the same foreign language people who don’t play golf hear when I talk about it 😂 All of the terminology he’s using is absolutely foreign to me and makes zero sense 😂 so weird to hear someone speaking English and I don’t understand a word. At the same time, it’s why I’m so intrigued by it. Cool to listen and watch while I’m learning something new.
Need a ‘how to release the ball” video. Even in slow motion, it’s hard to see how you are doing it. I get massive bruises on the pad of my thumb and the pro shop keeps telling me the ball is drill correctly.
STRONGER THAN THE SUPER NOVA???
Seems to have a urethane motion
I had the same thoughts too
Video 7 asking storm to make a uretang ball
EVERY ball you feature is advertised as the next best thing ........
If you don’t want someone to tell you the “staffer hype” then go to Luke Rosdahl and also he didn’t say it’s the next big thing. Every ball has its strengths and weaknesses
@@elijahpipkin4081 I get it just kidding ....... Promo for corporate sells
