Koh Tao Fishing - Spring Adventure Tour

FISHING WITH THAI FISHERMEN:
I can’t actually believe that this was my first fishing in Thailand.
I met a couple of fishermen on the beach. After several attempts of trying to join them on the fishing trips they finally accepted to take me (seeing the foreign guy in a kayak with a small rod was a pity).
In this video, you’ll see my little fishing trip in Koh Tao, Thailand, with Peter, a local fisherman and his crew on a small boat. I drifted away to another part of the world to fulfill probably one of my biggest dreams: fishing in paradise.
We went 5 miles off the north Koh Tao shore and started right off with jigging. This was a proper challenge for me. Jigging is the technique we rarely use back home so this was obviously my first time. Everything paid off when I caught my first-ever queen fish! Later on, when the adrenaline gave in I felt much relaxed. The guys were catching plenty of queen fish and African pompanos. Some fish went off the hook, it was a struggle to keep up the pace, especially if you are like me, inexperienced saltwater fishing enthusiast. Days like this are what dreams are made of!!
