      As bad as it sounds governments do have to put values on soldiers lives. Otherwise you end up with 500 soldiers equipped with the best that money can buy vs 500,000 enemy soldiers. At the end of the day for the defense of the nation it's better to just have more less equipped soldiers at some point.

He carves the batarangs. Made the grapnel gun. He gets pieces of technology from Wayne tech but he builds it all himself and develops his weapons. so he would remain undiscovered being batman. Its only in the Nolan films that he has all the tech available in prototypes and just takes it. Batman is intelligent in multiple ways other than fighting and strategy. Most of the time in the comics he gets things from Wayne as an upgrade. And also Nolan's dark knight and the batman are in two completely different places. Nolan's accepted his position as Bruce Wayne and used his fortune. The batman dies not he's just batman so uses Wayne tech as little as possible and tries do things himself which is closer to the original 1939 debut batman

      When it comes to armor there's nearly always a weak point, and she was a criminal mastermind and had probably studied the suit and knew where those spots would be. Stab vests are stab and slash resistant and will stop lots of attacks but if someone waits for you to lift your arm or arms up to stab you in the pits, they bypassed the armor and it didn't fail. Likewise if they have someone jump on you and they are able to go up and under the bottom of the armor they can still stab you. The armor is designed to protect against brute force melee attacks and not against surgical strikes designed to bypass or penetrate it.
      Ever wonder why some armor penetrating rounds are not only teflon coated but also really fat at the base but taper to a narrow point at the tip? So that they focus as much of their energy as possible onto as small an area as possible to be able to push into the spaces between the weave of the material and loosing as little energy as possible and keep going on the other side.
      The part that gets me is that the first suit was bullet proof from anything other than a 'straight shot'.
      How fucking unhelpful is that?
      So long as no one shooting at you is a moderately decent shot or shoots you straight on from behind while you are fighting their buddies, yeah you are fine.
      Which is what most of his threat modes would be. Most shots will be straight on from some perspective, not tangent. Considering that we currently and before this had level 3a body armor that could stop nearly any handgun known and certainly the most common calibers, it makes nearly no sense to do downgrade like this.

      The Dark Knight suit is definitely the most believable and tactically feasible from a real world standpoint. If someone was going to be doing anything like what Batman does, they'd undoubtedly want to have that armor. And it's got that whole psuedo-military aesthetic to boot. But if I was judging solely based on looks, I'd have to hand it to the 1989 movie suit. That one is so iconic and badass, it just screams Batman. I don't think any movie suit has or ever will top it.

    • @Tank50us
      @Tank50us Před 2 lety +3

      I know it's an old comment, but keep in mind that what Fox is actually saying is "Anything but a straight shot from a rifle". It'll more than likely stop most pistol rounds and shotgun pellets and blast fragments easily, but rifle rounds are much harder to stop, and even if it did, it'd break the ribs of the guy wearing it. And keep in mind, in actual battle, most soldiers are actually wounded by fragments, rather than bullets, so an officer worth his salt is going to choose armor that will protect a soldier wearing it from the widest array of threats. After all, enemy rifle rounds can be stopped by putting something very thick between you and the bullet, grenades, mortars, and artillery shells don't see such obsticals as an issue.
      As for the 'Bean counters" comment, this is a sad reality of the US Military, as troops were asking for armor kits for HMMWVs and trucks, and denied with some of the cited reasons being cost. So the Bean Counters in the Pentagon not thinking a soldiers life was worth 300,000 bucks is a sad reality. And more often then not, they'll also look for excuses to cut the program outright to save money, rather than let development continue. The fact it couldn't take a straight impact from a bullet was likely the public reason given, completely ignoring that such issues could be solved using things like magnetically attached armor plates to cover vital areas, and that's probably what would've driven the cost up to 300,000.

    I think the long fingered gloves are meant to represent the rigid memory cloth skeleton inside the cape. He must put his hands in pockets on the cape and flex his fingers back to trigger the electric charge. The top of the cape would realistically be connected to the utility harness so it doesn't rip off his arms though

    The spraying scene is what give the suit the rubbery look. It's a subtle nod to the old movies by giving a reasonable explanation to it. Bruce developed a paint that boost the suit defenses even further. He pretty much weather proofed it, since he'll be hanging out in the rain and snow, better to stay dry and warm.

    The difference between this batsuit and the bvs suit in terms of armor is the affleck suit has less padding in certain spots like the elbows, the ribs, the space in between the biceps and shoulder, and the area below the biceps. (Which is also why he felt the knife stab in the famous warehouse scene) There is padding there so that Batman can move faster, the didn’t consider those areas on the body that was just referenced because they wanted a more military feel to his costume rather than a costume made suit for his crusade.

    • @johnclark7406
      @johnclark7406 Před 2 lety

      Perhaps. IMO the biggest difference is that Nolan is slightly more realistic. Physic's (particularly the concepts of mass and inertia) didn't apply in both worlds but even less so in the BvS universe.

    One thing I find unfortunate is that in the sequels they dropped the monorail and the whole concept of filantropism as part of saving Gotham. Bruce's father invested heavily in the social upliftment of the city; it would have been nice if they had devoted some time to showing us Bruce doing the same. For instance, we could have seen a restored monorail in TDK.

    it feels like a weird detail of batman having buy ceramic armor masks in bulk from asia because there is no manufacturing left in the west, and then initially he gets shit and defective armor, so he has to go back to the same company against and buy more, which this time are up to spec.

    Who remembers when superhero movies had these cute and fun scenes where the hero would learn there powers or tech and make a suit
    Spider-Man
    Batman begins
    Iron man
    Captain America The First avenger abit
    Amazing Spider-Man kinda I just hated Andrews Peter Being unlike Peter seriously u don’t change Peter being a nerdy geek who’s not confident a lot
    Listen I’m a fan of superhero movies like Infinity war
    Civil war
    Winter Soldier
    Guardians of the galaxy
    Superman
    Etc but I still want some future superhero movies with cute scenes like this that make you remember your watching someone’s origins and see them good up or look silly a bit
