I've been growing several different Goldenrods for the last 5 years, and the difference in pollinator attraction can be startling- I had a Showy Goldenrod till a gopher ate it, and it was VERY attractive to insects. I also have an Anise Scented Goldenrod that attracts NOTHING! I started many different species from seed and don't know what most of them are, but as a group they are very attractive to pollinators in late summer when most plants are done. Gotta try a few!!
