Amazing channel another great video could watch your dad all day he’s like my dad always working inventing something, love the David brown an the 7000 keep up good videos we are in Northern Ireland watching you
Watching from Rolling Prairie, Indiana, USA. We have a David Brown 990 which we use for moving firewood. I love your David Brown and watching your farm videos. All the best to you and your family!
That s a great wood burner, saves a lot of cutti g when u can put in 1 metre long pieces, we just have a ordinary stove and it's a lot of cutting and splitting
I think you dad and I would get along great. I like making things myself, and get great joy out of finishing a project and seeing it work. I guess you were just voluntold you were painting it.
Great video again Laura, loads of interesting content, love the 990 on the log splitter, my old boss used to say wood warms you twice, once when you cut it and again when you burn it, thanks again stay safe 👍.
Brilliant sprayer for the cows. Couldn’t see, but it looked like your dad was sawing with just wellies? If so, can you buy him a pair of forestry boots - it could save his life! Lastly, you have a cracking smile young lady. Take care and stay safe.
Great job with the blower! As your father says the proof of the pudding will be in the eating! But if he can see a mist on their backs it's looking good! And a great time saver! Especially with flies in summer too in the field. Not really a problem here in Ireland. Getting cattle in in those numbers is a big job I'm sure. Yer splitter is unreal. Timber is the only job, feck the turf!! Way less ashes. I assume there's a large tray that pulls out in the bottom of the burner to empty it? Timber also you can work on it in winter. Saving turf takes up alot of time in the hottest days of the year
Yes timber is great that we can do it during any free time and not tied down to a certain period :) thanks, seems to be working well so far :) Yes we have a scraper for the ashes, works well
Nice one Laura that's a quick easy way to treat for lice il be telling the guys about that we use spot on, but it runs out of steam after 3 weeks, we got some trees to take care of soon too whenever it finally drys 👍
@@FarmingLifeatLaForge this Covid is a terrible situation at the moment. What’s it like in France as regards the farming getting supplies feeds and cattle prices
It's probably the right way to dry timber Laura, a foot long timber looks a lot better than smaller stuff, you could make timber stools out of some of them Laura , split them into 3 inch pieces with the chainsaw and cut legs with chainsaw, I'm sure you would sell them over there
Laura are there any good looking farmers neighbouring you with a couple of thousand acres and a big villa and C heck the bank ac if you can Your Dad and Mum are great people and a credit to Galway
This is a stupid question but in the barns and stuff would ye find snakes i know there in mainland europe unlike here in cork hha they have 2 legs here
Haha yeah they're can be, we had a few at the beginning clearing out old barns and around the yard but haven't seen any in a long time, some 2 legged ones here too haha
@@FarmingLifeatLaForge haha i can deal with the 2 legged haha but the others no haha would they be a problem to chickens or anything like that i know theres vipers but there probly not the size of wats in america would make u think how lucky we are here even do there was a huge snake found in offaly during the summer
what is the idea behind you having a extra sheet of steel left into the boiler ........ ?.......as i have something very similar here except its outside in a shed by the house ...........good way to heat if you have the timber ..!
@@FarmingLifeatLaForge we have a boiler in for 40 years this year and its on its 3rd refit ......the steel rots from the inside and pinholes appear .......last refit was done by conan engineering outside banagher , he has a very heavy plate on the inside now ..........
Sorry, working on getting better sound. Unfortunately writing all the subtitles takes a full day. With the editing I just don't have the time yet unfortunately, but I'll find a solution
Thanks! but I don't think I will, not yet anyways. Not really that interested in advertising and all that, the bit from youtube and my woodwork is plenty for now :)
I just purchased my first tractor. A David Brown 990. Laura I enjoyed your video.
Amazing channel another great video could watch your dad all day he’s like my dad always working inventing something, love the David brown an the 7000 keep up good videos we are in Northern Ireland watching you

Your Da, like many an Irish farmer, is quare handy with his hands. Fair play to him!
yup he sure is :)
Your father is brilliant Laura, treasure him, there's not many of those ol boys left!
what I love most is your father Roaring at the cow to shut up like any other irish farmer would , camera or no camera 🤣
Awesome job!
Great video as usual, that's one good 990,and they say there's no such thing as a bargain,ye sure got one there, Brilliant.
Wow you got a great bargain with the David Brown!
yeah we got lucky :)
I love the sound of a Husqvarna
"there's no flies on her, for a while" 😁. Fair play to your Dad, impressive stuff

That 990 is the best tractor on the farm!! Iv spent many an hour on one. It's my go to tractor on the farm. We also have an 880 .
they're a nice tractor alright :)

The 10 worst thing's
Of farming in France...
Great Idea! will definetly do something like that in a future video :)
Poor Emily 😂 nice Davey brown, it was a bargain. We had a brown and yellow one many years ago.
Brilliant sprayer for the cows. Couldn’t see, but it looked like your dad was sawing with just wellies? If so, can you buy him a pair of forestry boots - it could save his life! Lastly, you have a cracking smile young lady. Take care and stay safe.

Yeah tried to look out for ones to take a picture, but unless i went into someone's yard haha

Greatings from Grand Forks ND
Hello from France 😊
It's probably the right way to dry timber Laura, a foot long timber looks a lot better than smaller stuff, you could make timber stools out of some of them Laura , split them into 3 inch pieces with the chainsaw and cut legs with chainsaw, I'm sure you would sell them over there
'' No flies in her'' I like it😂😂😂
He's a bit of a joker ;)
Great show love the information looks cold, do you only have timber for heating home?
Nices David brown 990
Thanks ☺️
Your father probably remembers Dillons Agri outside of Portumna who had a fleet of David Brown's for silage, slurry and the rest.
Yeah he remembers the Dillons had a lot of David browns, he'd often stop to luck 👍
Considering the fleet is mostly blue. Was thinking a Ford 4000 or 4600 would take the place off this 990.
Could do but we like the david brown :)
Manitou cocorico ! 😁🇫🇷
Some job 👍
thanks :)
Proper old skool tractor Davy Brown 990, and great Posch log splitter. Did ye get them in France or take them over?
Nice 7000 ford. That's worth a few quid back here in donegal
Thanks, yeah some seem to go for a lot :)
Nice one, that 990 is sweet AF 👌
It sure is :)
Laura. Ask your dad how does he like the Husqvarna 390 xp.

Thanks 👍

The mooing cow must only understand french. 😇
Haha maybe 🤷 i actually think she understood him perfectly, seen as she stopped! Funny animals 🙂
Pulverisation pour les mouches??
Oui exact! Pour traiter les mouches et les tiques
Da has a way with cows.

@@FarmingLifeatLaForge great stuff.. We are beef farmers too.. Used to be diary.. Switched in 2000..
why do you pour water on cattle? Because I didn't understand 😉
Well there, we were just testing the blower out, but the idea is to use this to treat cattle for lice, ticks, flies..
Or maybe let's do so that I write in English and you write back in Polish? 😅😝
Great vlog guys
You going to bother with merchandise.??? Be a cool logo on a huddy or a beanie hat 💋👍
Thanks! but I don't think I will, not yet anyways. Not really that interested in advertising and all that, the bit from youtube and my woodwork is plenty for now :)
