All of the plays from the Los Angeles Lakers Big 4 against the San Antonio Spurs in the series clinching game 6 win in the Western Conference Semifinals.
Kobe Bryant - 26 points, 7 assists
Shaquille O'Neal - 17 points, 19 rebounds
Gary Payton - 15 points, 7 assists
Karl Malone - 8 points, 4 steals - Sport
I always found it interesting the Spurs could never repeat as champions.
Probably would have this year if Fisher misses that shot.
D jone Either Kobe stopped em from repeating '04 and '08
@@anthonythomas4836 please. Karl Malone was the difference his defense on Tim Duncan & because he could score the Spurs couldn't double team Shaq.
In their Dynasty Duncan, 2000 : Duncan was injured all the playoffs, 2004 : Fisher made a very Lucky shot, 2006 : DK and the Mavs were a little better, 2008 : The Lakers had home court advantage, and were a little better, 2015 : the Spurs were too old...
@@TheDignam Lucky shot what about the other 3 losses 🤔. Duncan hurt in 2000 yes hurt in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2008 no
That "disfunctional", injured team made Spurs lose 4 in a row. And 40yrd Malone guarding Duncan on his prime. One of best campaigns that season. Always loved that team.
The Spurs were "dysfunctional" themselves, having lost 3 players to free agency and three to retirement. They tore that team down.
9:50 that dunk was nasty!
Shaqs made free throw was a highlight like 10 seconds in hahaha! Thats good stuff
He makes it crowd goes wild other Lakers not so much lol
seeing this laker's team it still amazes how Detroit destroyed them in 4-1 game
Detroit played a faster ball. All 5 guys were fit and can run. They were fast defensive, offensive and in the fast break. All 4 guys in Detroit can space the floor well. On top of that, they had 3-4 guys who can create their own shot. They all set picks for eachother and were willing to give up a shot for a better shot. They really distorted lakers defense with switchups & screens. If you watch the highlights they just clogged up lakers defense with messy traffic through screens and standing in defenders way. They played a very unorthodox way of basketball. Lakers were not fit to play Detroit because most opponents lakers played were either iso team, scored in paint, not everyone can shoots and their shooters were just catch and shoot guys. With pistons, almost everyone can shoot and they can do more than just catch and shoot. Shaq cannot defend perimeter and is unwilling to because the offense will punish the lakers if Shaq switches up. Lakers perimeter defense was bad. All 4 guys in pistons can space and can create their own shot. That was the main point. Add that with some elite defense from Detroit. Both perimeter and paint defense.
16 points by Kobe in the fourth i cant hear haterz' bullshits
9:40 could you imagine the slurping that hack Marv Albert would've done if MJ punched one down like that to effectively clinch a series???
Ikr MJ got a little too much hype
@@antonioguglielmetti2661 because hes the GOAT and he deserves that lol and the OP commenter is just reaching and baiting
Spurs needed The Admiral for this one
J L More like Jason Kidd
@@carlosgarza9132 nah they need david robinson, and people mistakenly called him wash, the results show
And Steph Jackson to
3:07 . . . . . The MAILMAN running the floor at 40 41 of age 😮💪
The Spurs really missed Robinson and Stephen Jackson in this series..
Not to mention Claxton.

YO I TOTALLY FORGOT THEY HAD MALONE AANNDD SHAQ. BBBRUUUHHH THATS TOO FUCKIN HARD
Fishers shot demoralized the spurs and motivated lakers
This was a fun team to watch. Yeah it sucks they lost in the finals but if they were healthy without any off court issues they probably would have won. The Pistons were a great team also!
They were getting bounced by Detroit healthy or not
@@Loganbub without off court issues the Lakers would win
@@dxtremecaliber no they wouldn’t of, they got trounced. It’s funny people don’t bring up all those issues when they beat the Rockets, Defending champ Spurs, and #1 seed Wolves with MVP KG but all of a sudden they get smacked by Detroit and it’s “off the court issues”.
Lakers got spanked so bad even if they were healthy and mentally and physically
I noticed in the finals Kobe and Shaq didn't run pick and rolls at all lol.
Playoffs Western conference semifinals 2004: LA Lakers revenge on the defending champs San Antonio Spurs in six, after being down 0-2?
SPURS lost David Robinson and the LA Lakers added Gary Payton and Karl Malone the mailman, and LeBron James was drafted by the Cleveland cavaliers straight outta high school the same year?
It always amazes me how the lakers beat SA but got their asses beat by Detroit.
Still LA will always be better than the boring Spurs.
because Pistons were better than both teams, if Spurs made the finals they lose as well
The Pistons had better Defense, and overall more depth than San Antonio this specific year anyways.
Way too many crucial injuries (Malone could barely run, Rick Fox, Horace Grant) and Payton being really bad with the triangle and Kobe taking 40 shots a game and not guarding Rip Hamilton.

Matthew Perry at 4:44?
Matthew Perry look a like
SPURS added rasho, Devin Brown and Robert Horry
gary payton, kobe bryant, shaq, karl malone, derek fisher.... ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME WHAT THE FUCK
This was the same team that were destroyed by the Pistons.
Malone and Payton were way past their primes. Derek Fisher? LOL.
People underestimate how much Derek played a key role in the Lakers championship years.
Ya let's put some Respect on Derek's name. Dude can ball
if it wasn't for fisher, you guys don't even win this series
This years finals never happened.
I don't see the 1996 Bulls beating any of those teams
you should include at least tim duncan's highlights in these
probably a laker fan uploaded this lol
So the Spurs lost Robinson and the Lakers added Malone and Payton
Spurs lost Robinson but they added Hedo Turkoglu and Robert Horry that year
Malone and Payton were kinda old and got exposed by the Pistons albeit Malone was injured
@@CrazyFoo501 Malone was the game changer. He was effective up until the Finals started that's when his body broke down. Without Malone they would have lost to the Spurs in 4 or 5 games. They also don't beat the T'wolves without Malone.
Bruh they already had mal and pat since 2003
proof that nice guys don't always finish 1st. sometimes, it's the classless ones!
Nba rigged like a muthafucka
