Thanks for putting this up. I remember my father trying to teach me this game when I was young and I never caught on. All I remembered was "the higher the red, the lower the black". What I would give to play a hand with him now.
Only played 25s a few times years ago and this has been a great refreshing way to get back in to the game. Well explained and well done. I'm ready, (but not really ready for the Mayo bandits in Leicester) for the Christmas 25s at our local. Thank's again.
Hope you are still alive and well sir. I've decided to expand my card game knowledge and this series of videos is incredibly helpful. I'm hoping to shark my cousin at Christmas :)
Hi Vince. All comments are welcome.Anything to keep the game alive. I'm looking forward to your video ideas which no doubt will be exciting. Will you be using background music and flashing lights? Will you just be trying to improve on my ideas?
Thanks so much for posting this, I’m trying to learn this so I can play with my Grandparents once it’s safe to visit them again. You’re great at explaining & fair play for swinging around on that chair!
Good video, thanks for posting. This game is almost the same as 45s, a game popular in Newfoundland. Also another version called 'auction 45s'. 45s is also popular in the other provinces of Atlantic Canada and some parts of New England.
play this game regularly but never follow suit, we just play whatever we want and call trumps when we play a trump then everyone has to play their trump cards
