How a PokeStop Showcase Works in Pokemon GO! (Contests)

- This is how to do the contests feature in Pokemon GO! It's called PokeStop Showcase and the current Contest is for Biggest Squirtle. The feature itself is not huge but it could be built upon by Niantic in the future, and it still has some glitches and bugs.

You can find info about them all over the net. But nowhere says what time they activate
What time do showcases appear each day?

What about when I put in a H growlithe . With 977 but when it's in the showcase it had 862
Do you know if it’s possible to remove a Pokémon?
So when I’m in 3 showcases I can’t switch Pokémon’s ?
Can confirm that I’m entered in 3 and it won’t let me switch out squirrels. But also the “enter nearby showcase” appeared but wouldn’t let me enter it- said it was too far even though I could see it on my map.
Yeah, it's whack... they need to...well, fix that. lol
Do u get diff items for every contest or do u just get ur best one ?
It seems that the constant so far has been Stardust, but also the Fomantis test & this one seem to offer 1st place an Incubator with Stardust and more(?), though this go-around with Squirtle's contest I got a 1st place, 3rd, and 13th LOL...it just pooled all my prizes together
This event is for only one day or It is repeated after 6th july
Yeah i did 3 different showcases and it wouldnt let me switch out the pokemon after i got a xxl squirtle 😢

Hey can anyone help me choose which one is better to showcase?
1. 14.83 kg & 0.85 m (XXL)
2. 18.09 kg & 0.72 m (XL)
Idk which one cause one is XXL but it weighs less, idk what criteria matters more, thanks
Once you click on it to pick your squirrel it’ll show you how many points each Pokémon will have so just put in the best of those 2👍

I put 3 snorlax and I've got in that situation when I can't switch 😢
Ya after my 3rd one I caught an xxl and I was hoping to switch it but it didn't let me either

Can I enter more than one at a time because I entered 4 but I don’t know if there all there
You can be in three PokeStops for the contests; if you enter one into a Showcase then try to enter another one into that showcase, it will take out the one you previously had to put in the new one (I think it's buggy and glitchy, so it may not always "look like" that happened until Niantic fixes this foolishness)

The showcase is only during particular events? On the one hand I can understand the logic behind that. On the other as someone who works weekends and can’t really get away for them all the time that’s annoying
I'm right there with you - I imagine in the future, there's a chance they build this feature out just a bit more....it has to be touched up/fixed a bit since it's buggy (they learned basically 0 from their initial testing in smaller regions, before doing the Squirtle showcase).
Then maybe they could do the Showcases more often? Clearly this is all just me speculating

I have ZERO idea because Niantic clearly *LEARNED Zero* from their initial testing with the Showcase feature back when they did it in smaller regions with Fomantis, pre-Squirtle Showcase.
So seriously, it just seems like they either haven't communicated which accounts can get it or they actually fixed nothing.... it's a bit ridiculous :(

With "credit" do you mean the rewards? I think you get rewards no matter what place you are, right?
I got 1st, 3rd, and then 13th on the last one LOL... the rewards all just pooled together so I don't know what each one individually got me

I got startdust, golden raz berries and healing items for 3th place
I got 2 first places and 1 second, got 8000 XP, 2 lures and some balls
I won 1 with a 961 points and it was in there for 9 hr

my account doesn't show showcase why is that?
The question of our time. Like my video shows, my wife's account didn't have it either....like, why can't Niantic either just COMMUNICATE with us the reasons for this or just allow *EVERY* account to have it?! IDK, it's really weird

It’s rigged. The latest sneasel the game only allowed me to choose frokn3 of my 11 I had and it wasn’t my strongest total BS
I don't doubt that it's crappy cuz other people out there game the system, but just so it's clear cuz I can't tell based on your comment or not: the contests are normally based on *size* rather than strength.
