- Probably the most under-appreciated and overlooked feature in Pokémon GO is Pokéstop Showcases. This is because of how difficult they can be to get Rank 1. However, with a few tips and tricks, you can get high ranks every time.

Pokémon Go is a 2016 augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokémon Company for iOS and Android devices. You definitely can make adjustments to Pokemon in showcases after you've made your three entries. I do it all the time, and I use the "Switch Pokemon" function to do it. Go to one of your showcase entries (you do NOT have to be close to the Pokestop to do this - just use your phone) and swap it out for a different Pokemon that is not one of your other two entries. Once I do that, I can move my three biggest showcase Pokemon around however I want, to include moving the biggest one to a showcase where a smaller Pokemon was not ranked first. I shuffle my showcase Pokemon around about ten minutes before the showcase ends, and I win very often.

I was going to say the same thing
My strategy:
1. I enter 3 showcases as soon as possible then check if I have a chance to win in any of those, If not, I switch my pokemon then go to another stop.
2. I usually enter my smallest pokemon to trick others that I will never win. I will then switch to the biggest one near the end. I set an alarm for this so I won't miss.
3. Xxl height do not always win. The score also takes note of the weight of the 'mon. Ex. An XL one with heaviest weight can beat an XXL pokemon
Another tip - Uniquely name the Pokémon you submit - I name my top 5 largest. There’s no indication when switching them out which ones are already in a showcase and this makes it much easier to keep track of them
the problem is spoofers. i live in a major city, and i was in the park when adventure week started. literally at 10am, the pokemon all converted over, and there was an Amaura right next to me, I clicked on it and it was "huge." I caught it, and there was a showcase there, so I entered it. It put me in 3rd place.
Literally less than 2 minutes after the event started, no one else is around, and I'm already in 3rd place
The spoofers are absolutely running wild and it is completely unfair
You can make adjustments even after 3. You just can't add more to other showcases. But like you said, you can take out pokemon from a showcase by submitting to another that you've entered.
Leave the remote areas alone, we have little enough in way of any advantages as it is!
I love showcases to be honest. To be able to get incubators and lures for FREE is a game changer. I kinda think its not getting enough love!
I’m appreciating that not everyone is utilizing the showcases. I’ve got 53 first place wins and lots of items from those wins.
I usually get kind of meh rewards but there was one time I got 3 elemental lures, 2 star pieces and a lucky egg from getting 2 1st place finishes, I had no idea the ceiling was that high

So now we are looking for an additional 4 criteria apart from perfect, pvp suitable etc. Now we we are also looking for weight and height that are rated as XX something for preservation. Don't discard the smallest or the other criteria. The fact they exist means they could change the criteria required for winning.
I would understand anybody who opted out of this.
I won two Growlithe showcases last night. You have to keep checking your status and sometimes move them to different showcases (carefully!). I know where a couple of less-popular showcases are in remote areas.
Look for the yellow writing below height and weight, or for any “XL” bubbles that are yellow. The yellow denotes that it is the largest or smallest that you’ve caught of that particular Pokémon. I save XXL ‘mon or save the largest and smallest size that I have for every ‘mon for a future showcases.
Good video and topic not covered by others. Like some of the comments say, you can adjust with the three. I’m adjusting all the time. Placing it at the bottom of the today screen has been good for me as not a lot of people know it’s there.
Personally, I think it’s wasting space by keeping the xl and xs Pokémon. I evolve them for the badge as it counts as a new Pokémon and I move on. The showcase is usually the highlighted Pokémon and can be caught in abundance at the time, so a big/small ones gonna come again.
I had like 300 xl/xs and it was just something else to waste space with.

Don't tell anyone but I'm ranked number one almost always...feels good! I love showcases!
You live in an urban area without too many other players I suspect. Your pokemon probably sit in gyms for a long time too I suspect.
You can also earn a platinum badge eventually which you’ll need to advance to a higher level.
3:50 I will put my Pokemon in as I can, but after I submit it, I swap out for a lower size Pokemon to go down in standing.
I put a Hisuain Growlithe in a showcase and it said in my list of eligile Pokemon it was 929 pts but when I put it in the showcase it said it was 813 pts and I didn't win, I would have if it put the correct score.
Hisuian Growlithes were nerfed in the showcases for some reason that was not explained at all. There should have been separate showcases for regular and Hisuian Growlithes, IMHO.

Yeah that annoyed me I had a Growlithe that would have been rank 1 but the points were lower by 100 in the stop for whatever reason
XXL is a good quick reference of a high size Pokemon. However, you can have an XL Pokemon be even bigger than some XXL. Height, weight and IV also factor in the total size of the Pokemon. I have 28 wins in Showcases.
Pumpkaboo is a good reference to it
You forget the biggest tip on how to switch out your entries remotely by using the bottom of the today page.
You can also pull them out of the show cases you can’t win by using it and then dropping in a new showcase after that.
And yes that works even after your in your 3rd showcase
I won 8 now. 4 win for Oddish. I use to go farther where hardly anyone put there Pokémon there but now people knew about it. I don’t win anymore 😕
I would disagree with tip four. After you have located showcase stops that have the least activity, I like to get in as soon as I can. I can then make adjustments from my house. I don’t have to go out at the last minute before the showcase ends. I continue to catch the showcase Pokémon up until the close and make necessary changes. I have yet to place lower than second, many times I have three 1st. But the key is to find less active showcase pokestops.
Idk why I can't participate in these showcases on my main account but my other account can....
Does it have to do either the Google Play version vs the Galaxy Store version of the app?
i usually put lower point on showcase and put the large point when 7:58 PM at last 2 minutes,
About what I've currently been doing is keeping my lowest point highest one in there that would get me to number 1 just to try and trick someone into revealing their largest one so I can remove my pokemon from the showcase and enter a different one.
like currently I got a 758 Point Pikachu and someone has a 743 point one my highest is actually a 853 Pikachu currently which I will add in on the last minute.
Although it would be nice if they changed up showcases a bit
like smallest size wins and fewest points since we got XXS pokemon and such.
I have found at least two Pokemon Showcases I can win on nearly every time.
I did win one show case with like 35 people in or something
I just won 2 showcases and I got like 5 special lores a star piece and some other item i was not expecting that lol
I enter with low points pokemon, then snipe in my best at 7:59.... it only leaves 20 secs for people to update.... im almost at 50 wins so far
You should get better rewards for 2nd and 3rd
XXL’s arent always the largest. I’ve had non-xxl pokemon score higher points than an xxl. There seems to be different formulas used when determining what XXL means and how showcase points are calculated.

Xxl are not always winners. I have won with xl pokemon several times.
I can't participate in them, the showcases even show up to me, does anyone know why?

I hade showcase, There is no stop carrying one here. Why dont they rotate the stops? Its just a bennefit for players which have one at home...also I dont have space for a lot of "mayby" xxl pokemon😮
Something to note is that several time i have won with a XL mon - it have been bigger then my XXL mon. I really wonder how NIantic counts the size...anybody knows?
I think weight also counts to a certain degree.
@@mrmoose6619 Yes i know. But it would make more sence if the weight * hight would make out the size....maybe it does. but it´s still a bit anoying that a XL can be bigger than an XXL. It¨s not logical in my book!
Am I the only one that the "showcase" is not showing up for anymore? I use to have it and now I don't. I even uninstall the game but that didn't work when I

I keep being in first place and last 10-15 mins of showcases I keep getting kicked where I live like purposely. It’s getting annoying I don’t even want to do them with all the cheating

Just say can't use the same pokemon in multiple showcases
He seems unaware of the switch button. Also, I wonder if coming 1st in one showcase is punished if you do poorly in the other to.

To Showcase or to not Showcase is NOT a question for me. I love them, Niantic has me priorizing which Pokémon I catch based on if they are featured in a Showcase.
We have fun with them in my community, a friendly competition.

Before the Showcases were announced I paid little attention to xxl or xs pokemon.
I think it is a way for us to purchase more storage because we will save a xxl pokemon with IVs or CPs not to our liking vice tossing them back to the Professor...
I found Trainers submitting larger Pokémon at 10 minutes till the Showcase ends, frustrating but I will adapt and do it too.
Sort of like playing Poker, you don't show your xxls untill the end of the Showcase.

This is the way
Over the weekend I realized you can switch them out at any point after you have entered it. So you DO NOT have to go back to the poke stop location. You can just wait from comfort of your home and switch out mins before it ends. 😏
@@danieliusblackius1130 well I don't think many know this. Even in this video he didn't know. But once people find out it will probably become that. Everyone waiting the last 5mins to switch them out. For now my plan has been enter one in early, then switch it for a lower rank. Then I'll see what I catch until it ends only keeping XXL. You can enter up to 3 different stops. I've gotten 1st on Charmander community day and last night I went from 26th to 2nd on one of my growlithes. The other two I got a 3rd and a 4th. Next time I'm planning to use a more isolated stops that I know about.
