I didn't realize that you were filming, lol... I would have sucked in my gut. I am super happy to have my car home. The reassemble will be a bit slow, as I now have to put more attention into fitting everything very carefully.

Dang, that turned out amazing, man!!!! The detailing makes an improvement, but how good that paint was laid down makes all the difference!!
So nice. The only id do different would be. Black wing, black front lip and rear bumper. And possibly black fender flares and black gas cap. All black gloss. Give it a little contrast
Let’s wait until the cars done. He has a lot of trim to add to the car and a grill and other misc pieces that’ll set the car off. A fresh painted car is always overwhelming with color until it’s back together

Toby is using a less aggressive compound but the pad looks rough.
I like a more aggressive compound with a more forgiving foam pad; to each their own.

I saw the car leaving on the trailer this weekend and thought it looked familiar.
It’s really easy to burn paint and over complicate polishing. The key is to use less polish. Saturate a new pad and then blow it out with air. Then start polishing. If you get build up in the pad, blow it out with air. Griot’s is what I use also. I use a different pad for each compound also.

i have that polisher and the reason i got is because the guy in our local paint shop told me when i was about the get the rupp from him he said dude go to harbor freight and get their polisher and save your money.. thing work great and is cheap

What would a respray cost me on a 2 door ef hatch
Boss cream has mineral oil in it. Not sure thats a body shop safe product. Only certain compounds you use on fresh paint
We did a test panel first. Seemed to work out really well and didn’t see any issues in the next few days. We’ll have to do some research
Yea you don’t want to introduce oil into fresh paint. That’s why they have body shop safe compounds. The paint may start to die back(loose shine ). That’s from silicone or oils in product that appear to have buff the surface to a shine. When only introduced oils to shine it.
Could we maybe get a list of the different pads? As well as a step by step process (maybe not a whole video just a couple minute explanation)
Reason I ask is because I wanted to try to get some of these swirl marks out of my Miata paibt
We’ll be paint working on a 2022 accord here soon and get more into depth on getting the swirls out. Be looking out for that video
