It is helping me. I develop bursitis using a newer pair if soccer cleats, combined with up the heal running (this helped my knees). Using a higher pad in my heel helped immensely. Stretching helps in multiple ways. Basically the stretching part of the video is what is helping the most! I know this will not cure in 5 or 6 days. So far I am in my 3rd week and still feeling soar every morning. I am confident I will cure soon.

Barefoot training on elliptical machines can be a great way to strengthen your feet and improve balance. Not only does this type of training increase the efficiency of exercise, it also strengthens the muscles responsible for protecting the joints in the foot. Going barefoot on elliptical machines also helps reduce your risk of injury as you are not wearing shoes that may have poor fit, cushioning or support. Additionally, going barefoot on elliptical machines increases proprioception, which is our body’s ability to sense the amount of force placed upon our feet, and helps us adjust appropriately to different surfaces.

Have suffered for 1 year now very slow healing. My Dr did expensive shockwave treatments which helped kickstart healing. I did the massage & stretching in your video twice yesterday. It really helped for about 2 hrs of being on my feet. I already am doing everything in the 1st part of video before message per my Dr's recommendations. He never mentioned any of the warming up routines you demonstrated. Very hopeful they will provide relief for longer & longer each day. Thank you so much for posting this info!

I played basketball up until age 25, from 25 to 53 I played hockey only. I pickked up basketball again and was having a difficult time afterwards with achilles tenderness and pulled calf muscles. over time I was getting stronger and began to play more aggressive like the old days. Now I have this sore heal where the achilles attaches to the heal bone and it hurts when I walk and it's not getting better over the last few months. I hate to get a spur!

Now I'm feeling the same pain on my other foot ever since I got custom inserts made. Also I stand all day for work. I know that does not help.. Where I work, driving a bus, often times I'm jumping out and assisting passengers to board the bus. I wear the best boots I can get, usually Redwings or Rockies during cold weather conditions. Now my heel hurts so bad that I can't put on my boots. I've bought sketchers slip resistant working shoes, and just recently bought sketchers crocs.
This pain has made me begin looking for other work. Walking is so painful.
I joined a health club, trying to burn away 30 lbs or more this summer, and praying that the heel pain will go away.

Maybe it was brewing for a while with running etc. Going by your videos it seems to be bursitis. Seem to have so many injuries that become chronic. Possible bursitis in both shoulders. And osgood schlatter symdrome on knee. Hopefully not all spurs. Thanks so much for your videos

I thought that we should avoid stretching the hamstring if you have retrocalcaneal bursitis, since it puts more pressure on the bursa that is already inflamed. Others have stated this and it makes total sense.

  • @Rene-uz3eb
    @Rene-uz3eb Před rokem +1

Just a quick tangent. Upon learning how much different fascia tissue is from ligament tissue, I’m doubling down on my earlier hypothesis what foot doctors have it backward. The plantar fasciitis should not be supported with arch support insoles. The fascia has blood supply and is extremely dynamic/adjustable. For one, if you continually press with arch support against the plantar fascia (on barefoot walking nothing presses against the fascia as it’s underneath the arch), you are cutting off its blood supply, by pressing it against the bones.

I am most certain that this would be the diagnosis for my situation.. caused by 🚶walking, I noticed that after I changed the 4 mile course that I walk which has always been on a pretty level grade to one with long inclines (not too radical), I noticed the pain slightly, gradually, but then, within the last week it had become severe after my last walk.. I could not put any pressure on the heel at all but some ibuprofen and rest seems to have helped a bit!
If I pressed on that area it was extremely painful!!
Thank you so very much for the advice.

My pain is about an inch and a half from the sole in the middle of the heel. It hurts when I put my foot down radiating up the back of heel up the leg for about 8 “. Problems started when I tore my plantar plate slightly and it has never healed. I was prescribed very expensive orthotics but they were so painful I couldn’t wear them at all. I wear off the shelf arch supports which help. It has affected my gait and made my knee on that side click and and move painfully when going up stairs

    Hi
6 years ago i developed bump at back of my heel . At first it wasn’t painful after 6 months it was really painful . I used tropical creams to calm it down . Then I got heel spur which made it worst I went for therapy didn’t help much then finally I got cortisone needle at bottom of heal it did make a little difference then i got tear in the back right above my heel ... overall I am in Terrible pain my doc doesn’t seem to know what to do with me anymore I have custom orthotics which help little bit ... my bump rubs against my shoes ... I will do all you suggest to see if it makes any difference
Do you think I should get another needle for my heel as it started hurting again last cortisone needle was 1 1/2 years ago ...
I walk twice a day 30 mins long ... if I do 1 hr in one go then my feet hurts a lot and bump gets painful too please suggest something for me .... 🙏🏼

What kind of damage to my ankle have I done?
I used to walk downstairs missing a step each time (stupid, I know) and I got to the final step luckily, but half my foot was half way off the step, with all my weight coming down my foot slipped, and my ankle was / with the heel still touching the step, with all my weight still going forward and it was the worst pain I've ever had. It lasted for maybe 5 minutes, no swelling, and I could walk just fine afterward as if it never even happened. This was a good few years ago.
Now fast forward today, I still get some issues with pain but not everyday, sometimes not even once a month, but when I get pain it's like someone stabbing a nerve in my ankle. Sometimes it's at the front, sometimes its at the back. It's so painful it can stop me being able to stand on it. The pain only happens with weight on my ankle, and it can happen once only on one step, or it can cause me to limp for a good minute or two until it subsides.
Problem is GP I saw maybe a year ago said just to rest it, no physical examination or offer of an xray which is rather annoying. So I still have no clue what damage I've done or where exactly the pain is, and feeling around my ankle myself or comparing it visually to my other ankle shows nothing obvious. Any idea what I damaged? I slightly imagine I've done some nerve damage or maybe chipped a bone and there's just some small fragment causing me issues.
I should also mention that flexing my ankle up/down, my left one that has never had any injury doesn't skip bits as much (think of gears), it goes up rather smoothly.
My right however does, something more noticable though if I try standing on my toes with one ankle, or going down the stairs I more often put my heel down further to the floor than I would my left and I think I have a slight limp. I'd say there's also slight stiffness compared to the left.
Just wish it'd go away, I've even wished for someone to break my ankle or do the same injury just for some relief... but it'd be helpful to have some idea of what the issue and maybe fix it if that's even possible in my case.

Then, one day I decided to run a couple of Miles without shoes after listening to the book Born to Run (not blaming the book). It was absolutely wonderful at first. I was able to run further distances without slowing down to catch my breath and I simply enjoyed it more. My ankle started hurting after about the first mile or so, but I kept trying to run because I thought it was just regular soreness. I ran and walked the last mile home and haven't been able to run since without paying. It's been about 4 weeks now I believe. The pain is gone the majority of the time now when I'm just walking, but if I try to run it starts hurting a little bit again. So, I am trying to make myself wait a little bit longer before trying to run again.

Haglund is not a problem. I mean that visible tumor or bone is not a problem. The problem is that bursitis around Achilles tendon. It just presses and causes pain. Try to start day with icing (10-15 minutes) and rolling (massaging up and down)the calf. Do it for 2-3 weeks 4-5 times per day. After that try to raise foot effort so maybe swimming, biking, slow running and week by week it should be much better. Good luck.

It only happens to me on the foot I sleep with fully extended toes pointed to the bottom of the bed with my shins and top of foot and toes on the mattress. Could this stretched position negatively impact my achilles tendon and give me bursitis?
