- In January we spent 4 days camping and exploring Death Valley National Park and the Surrounding areas. We camped near the tallest sand dunes in California, Eureka Dunes. We visited Ubehebe Crater, and Racetrack Playa, home of the famous sailing stones. Left the park to explore the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states, Mt Whitney, as well as the famous Alabama Hills. We then drove on a spare tire back into the largest national park outside of Alaska and camped near the lowest spot in North America, Badwater Basin. We got to view the beautiful Artists Palette and Golden Canyon. Lastly, before flying home from Las Vegas we stopped at an amazing Nevada state park called The Valley of Fire.

Eureka Dunes is an awesome spot
Titus Canyon is a great drive
cold in the night, then warms up if your lucky.
Brought back beautiful memories
Washboard roads result from a lot of use and inadequate maintenance in the form of blading the road to smooth it out. Vehicles create the washboarding.
