I've watched you waste a lot of crab when you get whole crabs instead of just the legs. I can't take it anymore so here is a tip from a Louisianian.
once you open the apron of the crab (take the huge shell off) the cavity (body) has a lot of meat in it. in fact, it's where the most expensive meat is when you take the back fin off. those long rubbery feeling things are gills or the lungs. just take the gills off, break shell in half and you will see a whole bowl of meat in there AND the best part of the crab and at $500 for Curtis, you've wasted half the crab. OUCH! that particular meat is where your gourmet or expensive dishes comes from . Enjoy ........ALL of the crab.... ☺️ you deserve it!! ♥️
