  • Wadi Rum Protected Area is famous for its stunning desert landscape, spectacular sandstone mountains, desert valleys, canyons, dunes, arches. It is also known as The Valley of the Moon. Wadi Rum has been used as a filming location in 'Dune' (2021), 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'Prometheus', 'The Martian' and many other movies.
Wadi Rum Protected Area is inscribed as natural and cultural UNESCO World Heritage site (quote): "It features a varied desert landscape consisting of a range of narrow gorges, natural arches, towering cliffs, ramps, massive landslides and caverns. Petroglyphs, inscriptions and archaeological remains in the site testify to 12,000 years of human occupation and interaction with the natural environment."

Wadi Rum is one of the most magical places I ever visited in my life. The openness, the freedom and the silence there is breathtaking. There were instances the only thing you could hear for hours was the wind. Wadi Rum is truly a place you get lost in, only to find yourself.

All I can see is the effect of the deluge, with lateral striation of almost every rock, only top of tallest were above the highest flows. Sand deposited infinitely, here deluge travelled 1000Ks more and the deposit is silt. We do have irradict rocks sitting on top in some places.

Am lucky and thankful to have been able to travel the world over the years. The Wadi Rum and Petra are some of those few special places left that you must see if your able to get there. My buddy's and I years ago while deployed were invited on my trip by the Jordanian Royal Family and Our Guide was his majesty King Abdullah 2 ( the warrior king) when he was still Prince. He fought with us during the tanker wars in the Persian Gulf when we were young men in the late 80s. My experience to the Wadi Rum and Petra Jordan was and still is the most memorable and special place I have visited.

I've just returned from a three-week trip in Jordan. Friendly people, rich history and amazing scenery. Wadi Rum is absolutely mind blowing. One of the most beautiful places i've ever been to. I spent three days and three nights there, experiencing the silence, the immensity and the star-lit sky at night. It was extraordinary! Will definitely visit again.

My family visited for several nights back in april 2018 when we visited my nephews family in Al Mafraq & Al Zarqa.
The entire 4 hour drive south was so worth it.
    Stayed at a beautiful campsite.
We all sat atop a huge rock at sunset.
The rooms were amazing, and the beds were so soft, like clouds.
The darkness at night was magical.
I never saw so many stars in my life.
Visited Petra the entire next day, that was emotional, then stayed at the Dead Sea for several more days before heading back to his parents.
Wishing I can go back soon.
We loved Jordan, the people are so friendly.

I love the desert. It's so raw and so real. It's also powerful and mysterious. It demands respect. It's deadly, yet life persists. A land where the stars at night go all the way to the ground. Touch the sky, touch the stars, touch God.

I went to the Wadi Rum in January 2016 and again in October 2017. The second time I stayed 12 nights experiencing everything from climbing with Habis to getting lost for hours on my own. I always said people who went back to the same places were uninspired and a little boring.... but I went back again on January 1st this year because I left my heart there. I won't go in winter again but I know I'll be back there one day. An alternative for flights in via Israel and across the border at Eilat.
My soul is in the Wadi Rum

Amazing video . Whatever you touch ,you create something unusual. I see you found the entrance to Lawrence of Arabia springs. Great area of Jordan. The red sand from the dune was in my shoes long time. It was too hot to go bear foot.

Awesome video. I just returned back to the U.S. from Jordan, and this video captures Wadi Rum better than anything that I took pictures of. I greatly appreciate you filming and uploading this video. What a surreal and awesome place this was. I highly recommend it to anyone. It takes about 24 hours to get there from the U.S., but it is worth it.

Wonderful video and amazing place. I always associate the place with one of my favorite movie scene from "Lawrence of Arabia". I think it is one of the most beautiful desert place on earth. Thanks for showing it in excellent quality of 4k resolution. The music is also perfect to this scenery. Greetings and big like. Greg.

You have an amazing sense of beauty and shades of color, extremely rare in men.
I am fascinated with your way of perceiving the world from the aesthetic point of view.
Full Film, but I'm afraid that it might be blocked soon :D
      I love it.

I've already seen sequences with *_Wadi Rum_* views. For comparison. Your are even more exciting, because you can touch them with almost a hand. You can feel the impression of being among them.
      Have a fun...
