Fun fact: this video was supposed to come out like 3 weeks ago, but Deep Rock Galactic season 5 dropped and ate up all my free time and then a bunch of other stuff got in the way, but now I'm back on the grind baby!

Slugpups have two levels of intelligence that they flip between arbitrarily.
A bloodthirsty machine that is better at the game than me.

I'm not sure but I think slugpup badassery might be affected by how much we carry them around? I'm not sure if it's true, but i read it somewhere and it seems reasonable, considering that if you were to be carried around like a baby your whole life you wouldn't learn much of anything... so maybe the less you carry them around while also showing them the ropes, the more likely they are to be a badass?
@@somniumoflight276 yeah, i try not to carry my pups too much but they cant get through some simple platforming alone…. they fight like champs though (sometimes)
@@somniumoflight276 i don’t think so, you can train your pups on simpler movement methods (backflips and the like) but i’m pretty sure whether or not they fight (and how well they do it) is based on their predetermined personality stats

And tbh I believe once they avenge the parent they'll give them a proper burial and with what you taught them they'll grow up strong and determined.

i tried to train my slugpup Bort to defend me and my other slugpup but i think he’s gotten the wrong idea bc he would always run right at anything that looked dangerous, often into bottomless pits and through a scavenger tool once. i mean i had the cheiftan passage so did you really have to shove an explosive spear through the back of his skull?
I don't think your slugpup also had chieftain. Would be cool if slugpups also had reputation systems with other creatures, though.

some slups are just naturally fearful, no amount of training will help them

Is their a mod for better pup ai all my pups do is jump of cliffs and die to worm grass/leeches (when I’m letting them follow me)
@@handsomeavocado14 I think there is one but I don't use it. The only mods I have are the Cutscene Slugcats skin and Dress My Slugcat.
