    Thanks Paul, I remember the area well. Taking the first lane on the right took us past the end of Hucknall aérodrome and on to Farley’s farm. Used to go potato picking in the field we glimpse on your video. Pete.

    Good investigation! It doesn't make sense as a cottage, with that tall roof space but no signs of a usuable upper floor with windows etc. It looks much more like a chapel of some sort, or maybe a small school. But they don't seem to fit with the fairly isolated location, so how about a hunting lodge?

      A hunting lodge certainly fits in with the idea it's a game keepers cottage. Never seen anything looking like that before.

    If you go up Farley's lane from bulwell hall end throu where the banks separate on the left if you dig you will find lots of old style bricks . A stream went throu there and under the banks . It was diverted to the ponds when the railway banks were constructed
