I am making this because I made a previous video on the subject and Mojang Changed the command on us and made A LOT of people mad and confused. And although I'm always willing to help people in the comments over 200 people didn't post a comment so I'm doing this to make it up.

Nice tutorial, it’s definitely nice to have a “do it yourself” if you don’t like any server variants (which happens)

Awesome tutorial. Could never find just a normal skyblock with no added loot or buildings for 1.20 on bedrock. Do I use the same method for in the nether like the beginning of the video?

Am i going crazy or is it a common experience... i would clear out an area an leave a marker where i started i would miss some so i would clear it out but once I reach the begining there is still more disconected from the main land.... I was sure i cleared everthing out before thar....
There is a bug I’m aware of that I think is what you’re talking about.
Try changing the fill command so it places light_block instead of air
Hey man , i tried it in a normal world ( not super flat ) . The commands are showing up , but anything wont turn onto void . I tried placing and typing commands many times
Because it is technically happening underground. The only reason why it is working in his superflat would s because he is deeper and those are the chords for the superflat

Unfortunately this wouldn’t work for what I want because super flat doesn’t have biomes like a regular world does, and then I’d want the nether to be void too, and depending on how I want the world I’d need to purge literal multiple thousands of blocks

you don't have to do all the command block things. just go high into the air and lower render distance
Man, do you know why my command isn't working. in the command block it just says "Failed to execute 'fill' as [Null]
Maybe retype the command or restart with a new block.

I was having issues with mobs spawning, is that normal?
Which mobs? Passive, Hostile, Nether? I haven’t noticed anything in the past.
Turn off mob spawn in settings and do "/kill @e" in chat (with cheats on)

The method changed from the looks of it considering how it works now for the command block commands.

You may need to break and replace the command block
You can use elytra to erase it faster

I’m having a problem, sometimes the chunks aren’t deleted.
That can happen, try using the /fill command on the problemed areas and filling it with light_block
Some mistakes so I'm going to watch another tutorial but if it's on camera

Yes, it can go up to 44. If you turn up you simulation distance

Yes, but that is only for people who can port files from their web to Minecraft and some might find this easier.

So you can technically do this in the nether but it is so big and takes a long time but if you want to try use command
execute at @a run fill ~7 0 ~7 ~-7 128 ~-7 air
But you will need to be careful not to destroy the command block (set to repeating, unconditional, and always active)

@@VU57 In the past, I made my own skyblock without external tools. It was in Java, if that makes a difference. I just used a command to set the bedrock block. I don't know if the world creation options no longer offer void. I haven't checked in a long time.

Just go to world-type -> super flat -> customize -> presets -> air
And done
That only works in Java. Sadly bedrock (which this tutorial was meant for) doesn’t have this feature.
