- Don't ever ask me to paint you an RC Body! ahaha. Here's part 2 of the build, and it's finished! Am I now a Traxxas Fanboy? Well, I'm pretty impressed that's for sure! The TRX4 Sport looks like a good all round crawler!

So my plans for this Traxxas TRX4 Scale Crawler are to get it built and get it out and enjoy it! You guys have always said when I compare crawlers that I need a TRX4 to do a fair comparison, so here it is! Next video will be getting it out on a proper crawler course and giving it a proper test!

i remember when my trx4 sport was new, those were the days, haha, was RTR, now its got a brushless hobbywing axe, better servo, rockbeast tires with gmade metal beadlocks, some lights..... so many mroe ideas

I like the pink it gives the truck character. The fact that you can build and customize the Traxxas kit actually makes it more appealing to me . Good video Phil and I liked your crawling track .

I did a Tamiya VW Amarok in bright pink for my daughter. I liked it more than the blue I did my sons in.

I had the same thing happen with one of those servos, I have a couple of others which I've switched between 6 and 7.4v and can't say I notice any different with them at all!

Thanks Mike. I’ll always have the budget stuff on the channel. It’s nice to get some expensive stuff on here now and again, but I know many people haven’t got lots of money to pile in to the hobby. And also that cheap doesn’t always mean it’s crap, and that’s also what o like to show 😎👌

I painted mine white aswell. But no pink "hint" on mine :-) I was going for a utility/rescue theme. Having a hard time getting realistic stickers, though.
Btw, if you switch the frequency to 16 kHz, you get a dead silent ESC. Love those ESCs!

I would get this but for another hundred dollars you can get a trx-4 kit with locking diffs, two speed modes, and a way better esc and motor, also I believe the cars better overall too

Is there any difference between RC aerosol paints and car aerosol paint? Is it the fact it could affect the soft shell? 👍👍👍
They were the same brand. But the link was a ‘fluorescent’ one so I guess it was absorbed a bit by the white.

I will buy some time a crawler I really want one. I tought on axial scx2. I heard that Traxxas setting on transmitter can be a pain in ass to set
The Axial is really nice
I would have gone with a 17T motor Tomski and a gunmetal and accent colour it looks Class 👌 but 17t is a classic turn for a crawler my original scx10 2012 v1 rc sparks edition has one in it😁
I eventually plan to run this on an AXE system or similar... so it was just a basic set up to start

The Carisma Arc2 is a nice alternative to the HobbyWing. It does everything the hobbywing does buy with a nicer drag brake that doesn’t snap on and flip a truck. It’s kinda like hill descent control. The 1080 is awesome though so it’s not like that’s a bad choice
I think you can set the drag brake levels...to smooth it out.
The body looks like an international scout but the front end looks like a Hilux what car it supposed to be?

Seriously though I really did not want to spend anywhere near that kind of money on a crawler as I’m a speed freak, but I did not want to get a cheap one then get bored again, so I thought go for the trx4 and if I really get bored with it just up the power and used it as a mid speed scale basher instead, not many crawlers on the market you can do that with.. need to get a nice cheap one now for my little girl though so she can join in too..

You didn't want it to blend in with all the other TRX4's and I'd say you've certainly achieved that (and it does actually look pretty cool).

ALL my 25k servos water proof I ran all of them on 7.4, at some point. Mine look a little bit different. Brand..
Yes, 3 or 4 good layers of white, then backed with Neon Pink.... then white... then black. This 25kg servo is not the same as the popular ones... I have them a well and I’m sure they are waterproof

Once upon a time, back in the 1940's and 50's, in America, Pink/Salmon was a boys color and Baby Blue was a girl's color.
As everything, we now literally live in the Twilight Zone where allegiance to colors defines literally anything one can think of.

How weird is that!! I made exactly the same mistake, missing out the screws on the portals, and I also had the same issue with the receiver box?!
I've cut the small lugs out of the middle of the tyres, and siped the rest of the lugs, and it's made such a difference to the amount of grip from the tyres!! I'm going to try the hair doughnuts in the tyres, instead of foams next. £1 each on eBay!! Looking forward to see how it runs at BERCC. 👍🏻

The color really isn't and if your daughterdigs it then she'll have a hobby grade rc to go on the trails with ya 👍. I'm building my wife a rc4wd TF2 and being she like camo I was gonna do it the 'pink or purple camo' being I thought all the girls dug it and her response was 'no,do I look like I hunt flamingos or hunt in the Vinyards' 😳😄 so I guess standard green camo it is,lol. Nice build the TRX4 is a good rig and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

They are really good rc car's a little expensive imo for what it is 🙄. Your servo must have craped it self 😂 I believe I'm using the exact same one on my Merc 540k but it's been Ok and I'm running a 9.6v battery 🤔. I will not mention the paint job 🤦 .😂

I love my TRX4 Defender but my ADD and OCD destroys the hobby for me. Buy a kit, dump 800-1k in all the best parts to avoid failures, then hang on a shelf and play with for 10 min once a year. Next kit, rinse and repeat.
Shame they don’t get used.... bit I bet they look really nice though!
