The hidden benefit of filming by yourself is that you can be 100% in control and do everything exactly the way you want - you don't have to compromise your vision in any way or be shy or nervous about what others might think. You can be as creative as you like.
I was talking to myself about this exact thing. And then I see this, YOU GET IT ❤
Absolutely agree!
I shoot all my music videos on my page
yessir. That moment where you start second guessing to try to be respectful of everyone's time... is the moment you lose that flow
🖤🖤
That’s crazy the intro looks like the movie moonlight
Came to say the same thing. I yelled at my phone “OK MOONLIGHT” lol
Right!?
That’s what he was going for
How did u do the moonlight look? I have been trying to do it also on pr.
@@wefeproductions You managed to do it, yet?
Appreciate you boss. Even in this video there are layers -- learning the patience to shoot at the right time + the color grade + the tripod + the POV shots + the forethought to take a decent mic on your trip so you can have good audio. In isolation, easy to talk about. Hard to do everything at once.
When I first found your channel a few years ago I initially liked the fact that your advice was very unpretentious -- "the good gear is the gear that gets you out and shooting" -- but it's obvious that after putting in hours of experimentation you've arrived at a place of quality that way more over-equipped photographers might have initially pay-to-played their way into, and with a degree of honesty and organic style that they lack.
Bit buzzed right now so that's more of an essay than I intended, but I hope it's uplifting/helpful so I'm leaving it
Love brotha. Thank you. I appreciate the words. Hope you’re having a great Sunday night
As a solo traveler hoping to improve my cinematography to tell the stories that I want to tell, thank you!
Also it was the “but you don’t have any friends” for me 😅
Subscribing to see what you do with this!
How can I use this Song for my videos without copyright?
Can I travel with u pls😭😭
I usually get shy filming by myself out in public bcos i hate when ppl staring when you got a camera or feel like someone is gonna jack my shit but i feel like thats stopping me from executing my ideas. This vid def helped me out to say fuck it and just go outside and shoot it, lesget it thanks Vuh!
This made me feel better and get out of my "depressive state". I'd feel bad because I had no one to help me bring to life a video I envisioned. But this just put a smile on my face and ideas in my head. Thank You So Much Vuhlandes. I'm very thankful.🙏🙏
It is your time! You are using it on yourself. What is there not to love about self appreciation? And developing a skill
Tripod is so important. I got a super light one that I can shove in the side of my camera bag, and I got a massive camera bag that fits all my stuff. The beauty of this is that you can keep everything pre-assembled for quick filming on location.
Man I just found your channel, but you're getting exactly the look I've been after for a while. Very crisp and sharp but also rooted in a vintage aesthetic that doesn't seem tacky or overly done and completely works in the modern world. Very subtle. Taking note. Subbed.
I am proud to say my content creation skills will skyrocket after watching this video. I am really looking for creative ways to film and this was just what I needed.
Thank you so much for those tips! The colour grading in this video is insane ! As always you did a great job and inspire us 🤗
yeah the colour grading is amazing, how do I get that good haha
Thank you for this! There's plenty of these "solo shooter tips" videos on here, but yours truly stands out in how you relate your decision making process around your shots and ideas. So much helpful insight in here. I'll be revisiting this one often as I get my channel/content going. Always love your stuff!
This was an amazing video man. Real creative framing. Makes you want to go and and simply enjoy the art of documenting life. I always tent to rush when filming this was a sick reminder to try and slow down and enjoy them juicy life moments!
Man, I'm so glad I finally found a channel that go straight to the point, short and simple, easy to understand/executed . Thank you!
Been watching for a couple years like 2020 and super pride of ur progression as photographer, filmmaker, and creative. Keep going and growing bro 👏🏿
Love how you are always taking limitations and turning them into opportunities. Keep the 🔥🔥 coming bro
Really enjoy your down to earth style. I film myself and I'm going to incorporate some of the tips you give here, especially over-shooting and getting multiple takes, including a wide angle and a close-up of the same thing. Thank you!
This video is so beautifully shot. Like I know you’re teaching how to do it but all of these clips you used- the composition and the colors go crazy. I had to pause and say something. Appreciate you for this
Your composition is amazing, with lighting and forethought about what time of day that will create a mood. Your leading lines are on point haha Thank you for the tips and inspiration! ✨
This was SO helpful. I work in film and I know it can take a village to get these shots. You'd never think you shot these all on your own (and post production! Impressive). Incredible tips. Thanks for sharing :)
you always continue to inspire dude, I've been cooking up a short film with a friend and this video kinda opened my eyes to "we don't have to do some crazy shit to be good" i send this video to him and told him to watch it and i'm planning on maybe just doign something else...
Absolutely love these easy creative tips for filming yourself! As someone who's constantly creating content, it's refreshing to discover practical techniques to make my videos stand out. I stumbled upon your primary CZcams channel, and I must say, your short films are exceptionally captivating, and I appreciate the beautiful stories you share. Your work has truly inspired me, and I will definitely be subscribing.
I really like what you do with colours and dynamic range in your post processing.
There is one more cool thing, but you will have to carry more stuff with you, it's slider that will add natural movement with parallax effect, which is much better than post-prod movement. Also gimbles like DJI and Zhiyn have tracking feauture, it can be used to create some interesting shots. Again, you will have to spend more time and carry with you more, but final shot can be worth it
Man, this video is hella inspiring, much appreciated! And some of those shots are so creative
This the first video of yours that I've seen but the lighting and shots in your video is gorgeous. Amazing work man and I'm excited that I have a new content creator to start learning from
LOVE LOVE the tips and how you provide examples as you go- it's so underrated but I think the most important one is being patient... sometimes we want to shoot something in a very specific way and it might mean we have to wait to get it right :)
These tips are very valuable if applied. You are appreciated. Can't wait to really get serious this year using your tips. I have a list of your cinematography videos. And really love the work you do. Thank you again.
This was so helpful! I appreciate the tips!!! I love the angles and everything and want to keep my audience engaged! thank you!

These are such great tips- excited to put them to use!!
this is super cool advice because most my videos where i film myself are very basic and lack creativity in the shots and angles. I also tend to undershoot and am very impatient with my shots since I want to get it all out. Thanks for the tips!
I love these tips. Always love your videos 📸🌸✨
Awesome tips, the creative aspect of it really is incredible, to think and come up with continuously creative ways to do it, certainly takes a lot of work and patience...and trial and error.

Amazing shots and great tips in this vid, love it!
That shot from the back of the car in the parking lot, not only showing you walking toward it but also the rear view mirror of you loading the trunk…. 🤌🏿🤌🏿🤌🏿 Chef’s kiss, my brother, I loved that. Keep doing your thing and thanks for the inspiration. I’ve been low on it for this exact reason of having to film on my own, but this helps my energy a lot, think ima get back into it. 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Beautifully done!

havent even seen it yet but know it’s gonna be a good one. always a good day when vuhlandes posts :)) love your videos, so cinematic vuh.
MAN, the intro absolutely blew me away! Stylistically it really reminds me of some french, new-wave art-house films where the craft becomes less of a movie and more of an *art.* I haven't seen anything that reminded me of that in a while!
I *really* like it!
Great video man. And awesome tips! ✨
thankyou for helping us startups!!
This is the video I've been looking for! Thank you so much for this! I appreciate it, man!
