saw a short, went to youtube watched the vid, saw a ton of comments of people complaining that there was never a followup video, so i clicked on the name, clickd on videos, clicked on popular, this video was a few more down the list, and voila. and once again people dont surprise me that cant figure out how anything works and didnt find this video.
fun stuff, found one myself a long time bck, went through the vids, found a pic of the dad at his work, went to the company website and found the dude. called the company and got the dude on the phone, told him found the cam, and mailed it back. was pretty satisfying.

I only came across this today, it was in one of those Community Message things. Great return Shane, so much fun. I once returned a young boy's camera, he lost it in SW England, but lived in Australia. He left it on one my pub's outside tables. I got the film developed (real film) and there was a van with a license plate. I contacted the licensing office, sent a fee and and an open letter to the van owner who were friends of the boy's Mom and Dad and were visiting them. He saved all his paper round money to buy the camera. I was so happy to return it to him and they sent me a calendar and a book about The Great Barrier Reef.

They've got 2k subs in 3 years. That's actually pretty good. I guess they've got most of subs during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, because they've only got 3 videos dating back 3 years ago from now, I guess that's when they've lost the camera and basically stopped uploading there. So you have helped them boost their channel via that shoutout. I think they wouldn't have this many subs in such a short period if they didn't lose the camera. But they stopped uploading after that, which I think is a bummer, because they seem like cool girls. I don't know what happened, but you've definitely made their day at that time.
