- The Brightline Train recently expanded its route to include Orlando. And tickets are not cheap. I took the three-hour trek from Fort Lauderdale and back again. In this video, I give a full review of my experience. And I detail the amenities in the train and the stations. Is the high cost worth it? I let you know my thoughts in the video. Thank you for watching!

Actually, if you don’t like the seats that bright line automatically assigned you, you can change your seat with the feature and it doesn’t cost extra and you can also tell the seat is facing forward or backwards, by looking toward the front of the train when you change your seat because there’s an arrow.
That you can do either when you book your trip or you can even go back later into your trip which I did from the app and I changed one of the seats that I didn’t like. Did not cost any extra, and then I knew that the seat was facing forward.
The station and the train look very nice. I travelled around Italy by fast train several years ago, I found it much less hassle than flying.
As a comparison, leg from Venice to Milan was about $35 USD and that's a 2 and a half hour trip. Their trains do 150mph so possibly similar distance.
Great insights! Thank you.
Kim, I’ve been following you since practically the beginning of your CZcams journey and I truly enjoy your content. I’m very happy you did this video on the Orlando route because I live near in Boynton Beach and was wondering if Brightline delivers enough bang for the buck (I think the jury is still out on that one). I would definitely consider it as an option for a cruise departing from Miami. Sorry so wordy, my favorite Thanksgiving dish is lumpy mashed potatoes 😊
Well you are the sweetest!! Thank you so much! 😊

Omg I love that you did this video. I've watched a few videos on this now (I live in Orlando) and was considering taking the Brightline for when we finally do our first Virgin Voyages cruise. For the price ...I think we might just drive 😂. Love the video! I love stuffing at Thanksgiving
Hi Mark! Thank you so much for your comment!
I would say try it one day for an outing at Miami. $80 is less than a flight on that route and less than taking a taxi or rideshare. This is more like tasting new food. "Just try it!"
You might try looking at the website every so often a Brightline since I found a $39 share from Orlando to West Palm.
Try it for your cruise, I met other people that used to train for their cruise and there’s a shuttle from the train station to the cruise port or you could stay in the city a day before the cruise leaves, which is probably wise even if you fly
You might keep checking the website or sign up with the email on the Brightline website since so far I’ve bought a $39 one-way fare from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale and coming up next May. I have a $22 one-way fair from Orlando to Miami. !!!
I just took the bright line last week, the reverse way from Orlando. I really enjoyed it, so smooth and I didn’t wanna drive the expressway anyway so I arrived relaxed so I could enjoy a Museum in the art galleries didn’t buy anything but I enjoyed it and good food.
I have a $39 special each way
Keep checking the website they have had many specials
Black Friday special now for $59 each way !!
I took the train from Orlando to Miami and back the same day. Except for the window being obscured on the way down it was great. In a few months I’m going on a cruise out of Miami. Guess how I’m going to Miami 😊😊😊😊
Love this!
Just took the train for the first time last week from Orlando and the windows were fine and not obscured so maybe it depends on the train or are they changed it?
Great video!
Aren't they also building a train between MCO and Port Canaveral?
Hi! I’ve heard they are adding a stop on the treasure coast but I don’t believe they have announced where. Thank you for watching!!
You mentioned the high cost of the train, which it does cost a lot sometimes but keep checking on the web because right now there’s a black Friday special for travel up through the end of February. But look on the website to be sure about the rules. it’s $59 if the special still there, if it’s sold out on some times check some others times or dates and I would do that a week or two or more before you travel because it might tend to get sold out with low prices
I loved my trip to/from Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Premium was the way to go
I agree! Premium is worth it on the shorter routes. Thanks you for watching!!!
Omg please have Martini guest star in all of your future videos, such a cutie!! 😻 my favorite holiday side dish has to be mashed potatoes… I know, not original, but so so good 🤤
Love mashed potatoes!
In the Mary Mary are in the station, I had the empanadas, which were delicious! They have them both for breakfast and lunch and that was in the regular part not the premium and I think the price was moderate.
I meant to write I eat in the bar
Brightline should replace all of their trash cans at the stations with “smart” ones, which can compress the waste so there’s room for much more, and tell staff by itself, that it’s full and needs to be emptied!
Thank you for watching!
I'm going May the 3rd I was able to get a round trip ticket for 98 smart but like you say premium is very expensive
As to her about a High ticket price, and October I found a $39 special from Orlando to West Palm, which I travel to for the very first time the very nice relaxing journey.
For traveling in May from Orlando all the way to Miami I found a $22 ticket for buying one for two people traveling together that is $22 each way each person, I did buy it in advance and not around Memorial Day but I’ve wanted to go to Miami for a long time to explore a certain Museum I want to see
But it appears they run specials quite a lot!!
You are absolutely right! Brightline it's TOO expensive! WHY?? I don't get it!! BUT I have to take it because I hate driving!😂 I bought it going to Fort L and another for Miami due to the schedule for my cruise (with Amtrak won't be able to make it on time). I'm returning to Orlando with Amtrak, only $35 each one!!! Brightline need to bring those prices down. UUUUFFFFFF.... Thank you for sharing!!!🥰🥰🥰
I agree completely! Prices from Miami to west palm are very reasonable.
I just got a special for going from Orlando last week for $39 and now there’s a black Friday special for $59 a check all the rules on the website.
Sorry, I’m probably repeating myself down below since I didn’t realize I already watched this video along time ago.
The attendant on the train noticed I accidentally pulled the cord for my phone out with my foot and told me there’s another charger below where I rest my arm. That was way more convenient and then I didn’t accidentally pull it out.
Good tip!
Nice video $79 is too much? How much do you think it should have cost?
Thank you! $320 round trip for me and my husband is a lot compared to flying. There are regularly $99 or $150 round trip airline tickets available. Less than half. If I had to put a number on what would make me take the train every time? $50 per person each way. But that’s just my opinion. 😁
@@freshlysqueezedtravels if you really want to take the train again and want a special that’s cheaper either keep checking the website often or sign up with your email to be a notified of specials. So far with the three round trips I’ve taken from Orlando with Brightline I’ve gotten the $59 special $39 special and now for this coming May $22 special from Orlando all the way to Miami !!!
Even found a , half off special for premium so I treated myself and just tried it for one way. I enjoyed eating in the train station on the wonderful snacks and coffee, Italian coffee machine, and then filling up on cocktails and a meal and snacks again on the train. I would’ve normally just chosen economy also called Smart.
How far is the Brightline station from FL airport?
15 minutes approximately. 😁
3:06 they smell the same because briteline pumps a signature odor through them
I didn’t notice the fragrance of orange in either of the two stations I was in. I wish I had smelled that orange fragrance . Sounds good maybe there’s something wrong with my nose ???
I think I am very sensitive to smell. 😁 my husband didn’t notice it as much.
@@freshlysqueezedtravels I didn’t notice the fragrance of orange would’ve liked to smell it but maybe my nose is a bit older :)
Oh, sorry I didn’t mean to repeat my same thought. I was just reading the comments but didn’t look at who made them. Sorry.
I never heard a Orlando called o town, but then again, I don’t live in Orlando.
It’s a nickname for the city. 😁
The prices are NOT expensive!
For me, $320 for two people round trip isn’t cheap. You can fly for a lot less.
Yeah, and you get crammed into a sardine can with no legroom, minimal food service much less personal service. To me, it is not how much it costs, but how much it is worth overall, which tips the balance in favor of the train.
@@Robbi496 glad it works for you. We enjoyed our trip.
@@freshlysqueezedtravels I’m glad you enjoyed your trip but next time you can definitely find a cheaper trip if you are flexible to buy the ticket earlier and check on the website for specials since so far and all my trip trips have found specials
its not a high speed train smh
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-speed_rail
According to the google it is high speed. Thanks for your comment.
@@freshlysqueezedtravelsIt's not HSR. How do you figure? This highest speed of this train is 125mph which is on the NEW grade separated section of track. It would have to travel at least 150-155 mph on this section of track to be considered HSR.
You need to read your Google footnotes more carefully.
Very true.
@@mrxman581 it is a high speed train for Florida :)
The title of this video is ignorant and a lie. There are no HSR trains in the USA.

The more you know 💫
It is a high-speed train for Florida, very high-speed compared to Amtrak or to sun rail, but I know all the critics want to compare it to exactly what high-speed is.
