    Shame there's no actual reward for all of this. But hey, like Uncle Ben used to say: "Maybe the real reward are the teeth we punched out along the way".

      Sorry for late response! Tbh, as I kid I don't think I knew many (or most) of this existed LMAO. I'm pretty sure I only found out about Calypso when I replayed this like... Ten years ago? I also don't think I knew about the lizards in the arena either... Which is weird, because I put a LOT of hours into the game back then. But actually, that's true for the whole playable Green Goblin mode in the first movie game, which I uploaded also. It's pretty fun finding weird stuff like that in these old games. They just don't make 'em like they used to! Thanks for your comment! :)

    I was 4 y.o. When i first played this game. I’ve been playing this game since then and i never knew that Calypso was in the game. I was playing right now in the Dolphin Emulator and i can’t get through Timed Round 4. About 2 years ago i found out about the Lizard material that was never used in the game. And i went to CZcams to watch videos about the Lizard in the game and i ended up spoiling myself the surprise about Calypso. This game is the best.

      100% one of the best ever made. Simple by today's standards, but overall, a lot of games have gotten MUCH worse. SM2 is totally timeless though. That's super cool that you found something new! I also didn't know about her until maybe... 2013? I played at launch, so I must have been 7 or 8..? See what I do to save time in round 4! Maybe it'll help?

      I'm the same as you brother, i was 6 or 7 years old when i first played this game. I re-bought a ps2 in 2014 and another copy of this game. I play it every now and then just to swing around and fight bad guys. I'm 25 now.

      I'm seeing this is a trend with a lot of people, including me. On my first playthrough as a kid, I NEVER knew this stuff existed until my second playthrough a number of years later. Which is crazy, because there's practically an entire new campaign of gameplay challenges just in the arena... Pretty crazy! And hell, I bet even a lot of people who knew about the Fight Arena STILL didn't know about Calypso because of the challenges you have to beat to fight her.

      @longplaylegends  Před rokem +1

      True. Almost feels like fighting her is one big glitchfest or something. But I guess they kept her in as a secret boss anyway, considering she was supposed to have her own arc following Xbox exclusive Spider-Man 1 Kraven levels, but IIRC, they never got around to it.

I kept somehow turning back around on the map and going in the opposite direction. Also the map doesn't zoom out far enough so it's easy to get distracted... Anyway, I'll stop rambling lmao. How exactly to do defeat 70 enemies? It feels like a bit too much, do you have to just keep moving around?

    • @longplaylegends
      @longplaylegends  Před rokem

      Basically, yeah. Keep running around, dodging mid-air when you get spider-sense, build up your reflex meter, use reflexes to take out enemies when necessary (or use it on all of them just in case), rinse and repeat. That's basically the strategy, and it's a real pain in the ass... Particularly dangerous enemies are the lizards, who are really fast and don't feel consistent on when they'll hit and when they won't, so be especially careful when taking those guys out.

      This is actually the GameCube version. I played it on Dolphin 5.0-13178, it works fairly well. It's the same version that's on PS2 and Xbox. The PC version of Spider-Man 2 is a totally different game. I HIGHLY recommend playing it on Dolphin on the above version, or on whatever version you find stable, even the stable 5.0 release. I honestly forget if it works well on PCSX2 for the PS2 version, but I know this way works well. Hope that helped! :)

      @@longplaylegends do I need to have a good pc to run the emulator?

    • @longplaylegends
      @longplaylegends  Před 2 lety +1

      @@luizeduardo._. Eh, not really... It's most intensive on the CPU, but any recent generation will give you excellent performance on Dolphin. For most games, even first gen Intel (I'm talking like 2008-2009) will work, so if you have something a little better like maybe a used i7 4770K system, that should work great even with the integrated graphics. Playing games at 1080p should be just fine.
      The only issue you can run into is when using a low power laptop (Intel U-series). Since they're limited to only 15 watts typically, that means your CPU and integrated graphics are both fighting for power. But newer laptops even U-series should be fine since they perform much better and can clock higher in single and dual core workloads.
      Long story short... You can probably run it fairly well, unless you're using the lowest end computer eg the cheapest Walmart Celerons for example.
