Would love to hear you do Morten Lauridsen's " O Magnum Mysterium," but I understand it has significant personal meaning to him and he may not allow it. The only reason we were able to use it as an on-field warmup in the SoCal Dream Sr. Drum & Bugle Corps (I think it was 04 or 05) was because one of our brass arrangers knew him and got permission personally.
You guys are like a holy grail in Indiana Jones, a million times better than any others who didn't get gonged on the show and deserve a million subscribers and views on a every video. Kudos to you guys, I'm an ardent fan of you both, keep the posting.
Can tell the one on the left is an aesthetic. We love getting caught up in the spaces between the notes. Whitacre checks far more of the boxes I want in music than I'd like to admit. Great job guys! Phrasing is outstanding!
It's too bad you skipped the middle section, it has some of the most beautiful dissonances:) Still absolutely beautiful! It shows off the dynamic and harmonic capabilities of the melodica:)
We sang this in my senior year state Honors Choir. Still my favorite piece I've sang because those harmonies in a group of 600 kids who were SERIOUS singers was AMAZING.
First time to listen to your this type of song. Being honest, I wasn't expecting this much as it comes to my heart and spirits. Thank you guys! You made my day nicer. This is even nicer than pipe organ as we can feel more with human breathes..
Played this piece earlier this year in my old schools band and last year with the SC Region 1 band, I cry every time bc of how beautiful it is, thank yall
This was amazing. Eric Whitacre is one of my favorite modern composers; I fell in love with his work when I played “October” in high school band as a tubist. I know you’ve already done some of his work, but if “October” showed up in my subscription feed, I wouldn’t complain!
Oh wow, oh wow! I'm singing this in my head from back when I did "Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir 2" which was "Sleep." I believe this is the song that inspired Eric Whitacre to do "VC" and it was the "proof of concept" before the first official one with "Lux Aurumque." Awesome job!
I came here from Japan. Your performance is amazing! "Sleep" has been my favorite song since a long time ago, so I am really pleased that you gave such a wonderful performance with melodica😊
This is great! If you guys planned on doing more Eric Whitacre, might I recommend Seal Lullaby? It's my favorite piece by him and one of my favorite choral arrangements of all time. I love your guys' stuff, keep up the good work!
I honestly enjoy this more than the choral renditions I've heard. I sometimes get tired of Whitacre's one trick - adding fourths to triads. But you guys play the heck out of this song. Kudos to you!
As an oboe player I am mildly offended that you skipped such a beautiful solo not gonna lie, but great job this a beautiful piece and it’s great to see you guys doing it
Ok guys, this is truly wonderful. But don't be changing places on us! You are normally sitting the opposite of how you are today and my brain can't take it. LOL
You should send this to Eric Whitacre's Facebook! He's pretty active and would love to see this.
He shared it three hours ago!
This is the most choir kid thing ever
AwesomenessEpicness It's a wind ensemble piece too
My 0 Period choir is doing this right now (postponed due to winter show).
Band kids 🤝 Choir kids
Eric Whitacre’s Sleep
(Lol hope that formatted correctly I commented thru my phone)
It’s a very band kid thing to do as well
@@avinavar4818 Anything Eric Whitacre tbh
Like the reference to the virtual choir video with that background

Eric Whitacre recognized you guys! Congratulations!
静かな夜に聴きたい二人の柔和な音色 。
The guy on the left looks like he's truly enjoying every note and I appreciate that
I’m so happy to hear Eric Whitacre on this channel!
SAMEEE

高校生の時にこれを歌ったことがありました。すごく綺麗な曲で歌いながらも感動したのを思い出しました。
I would LOVE to see you guys do "Going Home" from New World Symphony! That would be amazing on melodica!!!!
MORE CHORAL STUFF PLEASE!!
criminally underrated
Well done! Everyone needs to have a serious side as well as a fun side. You showed your balance. Fantasstic!
Brilliant! What musical expression! What faces! Stunning!
Y’all should do Seal Lullaby
Whitacre is one of my top fav composers. Thank you for doing this one justice
Saw your performance Sat night. Great trumpet playing!
My favourite one yet!!!! Great work!
Absolutely beautiful
The harmonies are gorgeous!! Thanks for another awesome video!
Beautiful rendition! Loved it!
oh my gosh, this is my favourite piece by Whitacre. Wonderfully done.
Wonderful performance guys! I played this on a wind ensemble concert 8 days ago in Vernon Hills IL. Great piece!
Lovely, serene. Thank you, @Melodica Men.
Sounds so beautiful on the melodica ❤
You two have excellent taste in music. To think I’d go from smash music to sleep… well played.
Played this piece earlier this year in my old schools band and last year with the SC Region 1 band, I cry every time bc of how beautiful it is, thank yall
That was absolutely stellar, holy shit
October next!
Like the chords you two create, well done! It reminds me of a song that I once played. Very calming.
Beautiful!
Who said the melodica couldn't play beautifully?
Well done!

Awesomeness over 9000!!
Lovely, Aloha from Hawai'i...I've watched your other amusing and serious vids. Na mele Kupaianaha!
Dude... beautiful.
Gabe me chills just like the original. I love the use of subharmonics in the low melodica to get those bass tones out!
That’s really awesome! From japan.
Your sound can let us move everyone’s mind .
Beautiful. Eric Whitacre would be proud.
Great work!
I'm just happy other people have the same head, hand, and eyeball movements that I do when I listen to this wonderful piece.
That was amazing.
Oh wow, oh wow!

Your performance is amazing!
"Sleep" has been my favorite song since a long time ago, so I am really pleased that you gave such a wonderful performance with melodica😊
Very nice sound!
Beautifully done, but your stereo channels sound flipped. Maybe it's my headphones, but you might want to check that in the future
I thought that too, but turned out my headphones were on the wrong way round.
nah, the man on the left of their microphone is coming through my left speaker
The stereo channels are flipped
the man of the left of their microphone (video right) is playing the higher notes. those are coming out of the left headphone
Aweshade Nine yes, that's the point. They're recording from player perspective rather than audience perspective
I performed the band arrangement on Thursday and this song is popping up everywhere now
素晴らしい!日本から見てますが国境を超えて感動しています!
I love the music you play!
I like!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍
i played this with my city concert band last year. this version sounds great!
Your best yet! Beautiful phrasing and impressive control. Have you been in touch with Eric?
So great.
If you're down to do more Whitacre, how about the Seal Lullaby?
This will never get 2 million views like Harry Potter, but it gets 2 million LOVES from me.
How about Whitacre's "Godzilla Eats Las Vegas" next :-p
George Mammarella ha ha ha my High School played that last year.
i might have been waiting all my life for this rendition -- even if i didn't know it!
This is beautiful - you guys are really amazing! I think Eqqus would be amazing, or maybe some Mackey. Keep doing what you're doing!
This is great! If you guys planned on doing more Eric Whitacre, might I recommend Seal Lullaby? It's my favorite piece by him and one of my favorite choral arrangements of all time. I love your guys' stuff, keep up the good work!

John Makeys strange humors would be the coolest thing on one of these!!
As an oboe player I am mildly offended that you skipped such a beautiful solo not gonna lie, but great job this a beautiful piece and it’s great to see you guys doing it
If you guys ever revisit Whitacre, Lux Aurumque would be another amazing piece to cover

They should do _Spem in Alium_ next. They'd only need 20 fingers each.
I saw something that wasn't Spem.
