Man that's a wild ride! Be careful the fumes from pipes that dump down get scooped into the interior. These are for open frame race. If it burns your eyes it's deadly.
Why not get some legit competition subwoofers? You can have 2 12s sounding way better and hitting harder than those 4 15s

$5000 🙄 Did they have you at gunpoint when they sold you that ? Plus those are 12s not 15s. 2 good sundown subs would run you about $1500 and a Orion HHC would have been about $1100 plus $1000 worth of highs and mids, that includes the amp, and a custom box for about $400. Maybe about a $1000 for custom installation. The whole setup would be about $5000 or less and it would blow that setup out of the water. That's about a $1500 to $2000 setup install shouldn't have been more than $300. Tito needs his azz whipped for that😂
The only sundown subs that would equal to $1500 would be the Z series. Even then anything other than the SA’s would require you to have some real strong Amps. And real strong amps require real electrical. A lithium battery and a HO alternator would cost him almost another $2K minimum. Not sure what shops you’re going to but if you’re doing a set up that you listed $5K is cheap for a sound system. Granted you don’t need more than that to have a great one. No point in spending that much on equipment when you don’t have the electrical to back it up
@John Doe, You can get a lithium battery for $500 and and HO alternator for around $400. Did you go to Tito with that $2000 minimum estimate😂 You really don't even need a lithium battery, you can just add a good quality battery and be just fine with a HO alternator. It's a daily driver not a sound competition car. He could have even went with Skar Audio and still would have been far better than the system he got. $ 5000 worth of Skar Audio would blow the doors off that Kicker setup.

Those specific speakers are shallow mount subs. They don't do well in ported enclosures. They don't have enough throw to recoil properly. A sealed enclosure allows the air to create the recoil to make them sound better by displacing more air. Deep throw subs tend to sound better in ported enclosures because they can displace enough air without needing the air in the box to provide recoil.
@@divineintervention212 lol build the ported box to spec and you won’t have any issues I seen 146’s out of 2 shallow mount 12’s in ported boxes and sound good.
@@divineintervention212 throw you are talking about the Xmax and with the recoil you are talking about the subwoofers suspension, with a ported enclosure the subs will move the least at the port tuning so tuning at 30hz maybe 33hz would be perfect for his amount of cone area assuming they are playing with RMS power and not over powered.

Nice set up my g. Also get a special made box nothing prefab and ask them to port it and a least make it tuned to 32hrz. That will make your system sound 10 times harder and you can hear way more in the distance. Everything else is perfect, but you have the wrong speaker box

When I had my 86 box Chevy brougham I most definitely had upgraded my alt to 300 amp alt had a xs power in the trunk along with 4 amps 2 4channels on mids and highs and 2 sub amps on the 8 12s had to get the trunk latch welded many times due to it breaking from the beat
You just motivated me to get back working on my box
My guy i got 86 Pontiac Parisienne I did the same thang till i hooked up a ported box it was over went from 2 15s un-ported to 2 ported the difference is 2 crazy especially for a song wit low bass man you will not regret it but regardless you still beatin doe💯

3in Xpipes with the dumps sounds supreme on my buddies old schools. Your whip is nice sounding good but get an X pipe and really wake it up more. when you have a strong motor it gives a phenomenal sound when you accelerate.

I agree with alot of what the other guys are saying all you need is two good subwoofers either two 12's or two 15's and I would go with Sundown Z series and a real class D amp korean,get someone that knows how to build boxes,make sure your electrical is right O gauge OFC,alternator. Mid range I would go with deaf bonce Arnold's 6.5

I love my NSV4 15’s but it takes so much power to get them hoes moving 3.25cu.ft per sub on 10k for the pair, my HDX3 15 in my 6th order on 3k sounds better and gets louder though the NS’s move much more air. Both systems are in a Ford Ranger with 145ah of lithium and 280a of alternator from Iraggi and big three on both the trucks.
Oh mids I love my PRV’s I have 1 6MB550FT and two 6FR200’s on a Taramps Smart 3k. They are nasty loud.

Nice set up vee but why not get a fresh box for those woofers I would do a ported box on those . Sealed boxes are okay but if you want them to have a much heavier sound I would do a ported box but that's just my opinion !

That ain’t much bass from there in the beginning you would only need 2 Soundqubed HDX3 12’s or 15’s and a custom box to shake the whole car apart. I got one doing 150’s in a custom box beating my truck to death. Other than that the car is clean AF and sounds good.

If you got 2 15" American Bass xfl subwoofers on a smart 5k watt Taramps amplifier in a huge ported box you would get way louder than those 4 15s in that sealed enclosure. I have some good music rebassed playlist you can test on your 4 15s that will shake your trunk.
