      It makes me crazy that there ended up being a connection between Sweeney Todd and the EKT search, because I've loved this album/Nick Gilder for ages. Blew my mind when Whang mentioned Sweeney Todd

      It's weird because this was the first version I heard way back when the via satellite Oldies Coast to Coast and later Good Time Oldies were still around. Everywhere else has the radio edit, even now.

    l was 10 when this came out. l was living in a Vancouver suburb. Thought he was a chick even then! A little later l got into Yes, Genesis, Crimson, n ELP. Still Love them today!!!

    Happy Birthday Nick Gilder born on December 21, 1951. He is a British-Canadian musician who first came to prominence as the frontman for the glam rock band Sweeney Todd.     When this song crossed in2 the U.S.A.; we heard the "Bryan Adams" version. Regardless; this song MFin' ROCKS (Nick Gilder's version #1). I was 9 Y.O. when this particular song hit the airwaves in the U.S.A.!!!!!

    Nick Gilder @ his best. I grew up on this song (thanks 2 AM 800-CKLW when they were known as the "Big 8"). Though Bryan Adams departed Sweeney Todd prior 2 this song, I do acknowledge his work w/them.

    that has the Bryan Adams single ?
    There is a 4-CD box set called
    OH WHAT A FEELING:
    A Vital Collection of Canadian Music
    that includes it on disc one,
    but I don’t know which
    version it is.

    The more that I listen 2 this song, it's DEFINITELY Nick Gilder on lead vocals & Bryan Adams on lead guitar. Bryan Adams has a very distinctive sound. It's DEFINITELY Bryan's guitar.
