Birth Story Part 1 | Weeks 38 and 39 | Gestational Hypertension | Natural Induction Methods

Hey friends!
I'm finally back and ready to share part 1 of my birth story with my first daughter, Chloe. After being hospitalized with gestational hypertension at my 38 week appointment my nurse midwives encouraged me to pursue natural induction methods to get baby girl here sooner. This is what happens when healthcare providers don’t do proper education to their patients. You should never be waiting, high blood pressure is extremely dangerous for mom and the baby and can cause severe complications. They should have induced you on the first day your BP was high

I had great healthcare providers actually! It was a complete anomaly, which is why I was able to continue until my baby was ready to be born. As I mentioned if I had had another high reading you are correct I would have been induced immediately.
