I've realized after doing this event solo a bunch of times how much of a joke it can be if you simply sit still facing toward or away from island. Essentially letting them come into your fire range. Repair as needed. And all loot will end up right next to you lol. Even w the boss you usually won't take enough holes to sink unless they pass through you parallel. Ive completed flameheart many many times sitting still by simply turning for angles for ships approaching. Hope this helps!

yeah you have to be careful you don't get attacked by many at once, and even more careful to harpoon the storage crates of the damned or you'll run out of supplies. most of them only take 3 hits to kill though so just parking and killing them as they sail into you generally is quite safe
by the way here are the healths for each ship type:
normals take 3
captains take 10
the burning blade takes 25.
the order of souls quest doesn't have the flagship so parking works better for those than the event.
I solo’d 2 fleets back to back after watching this video, turns out its a lot easier than I thought, great video and thanks for the motivation.

There's actually one more way to die in this event, wich is crashing into the island that the fleet is haunting or the rocks surrounding it
And a 4th, getting overwhelmed by three broadsides at the same time, being a captain and their escort. If your sails are raised or you have barely started moving the moment they pass by you, there will be too many holes to bail IF you're still alive.
depending on whic island its on, row over, and use a cannon on the island and bring a supply crate. if no cannon on the island, then its a challenge

Do you have a preferred ammunition when fighting ghost ships?
Regular cannonballs are best since they are most abundant. 3 shots each ship with the normal cannonball. Save everything else for when another player pulls up on you

The sails are such a grind 😓
I can usually do these except i always get jumped by a full level 5 reapers galleon
Is it easier when your in a sloop?
yes
You really dont need to stock up that much because as anyone who has played this knows, the stoge creats are op and me and my friend got 8 of them and almost 300 supplys each by the end
Yes but anyone who plays this game knows that it can be unpredictable and theres a chance you may not get supplies from the ship. People, stock up at all times to be safe. Especially since youll most likely be targeted by other players as well

Can't do nothing try doing stuff like getting prepared and after doing it I get SUNK it's ridiculous I'm not even doing the flame heart I'm doing the voyage one and when I'm being sunk I'm always out numbered

Naw dog the duo sloop is the easiest to do this. Brig takes to much damage on broadside and has no "second" deck to take most of the damage so all shots that hit are critical. Galleons get to much fire and take to much damage when they go through the ghost ships cause they can't maneuver fast enough. Sloop can maneuver fast to get out of the way and doesn't take as much damage on a boss wave broadside. It also has a back second deck to absorb damage better and is easy to bucket, unlike galleon/brigantine. Sloop's the way to go.
How do you get the sails??
Sell about 40 Ghost Captain skulls for the Green unicorn sails. Kill the Burning Blade about 40 Times for the Red flameheart sails. Not completly sure about the Numbers cuz im currently Grade 2 and 3 for those recommendations.

No you just understand what angles to get what shots of better than the shared knowledge of the group.
