  • Wanted to say that I did go back and properly tighten the Lower Ball Joint Nut. I also decided to replace the Axle Nut Cotter Pin after the installation and filming the video. When I removed it I noticed that one of the sides was broken off, but I made no comment on it. As a matter of fact later in the video I mentioned that the cotter pins were "perfect" and that I would reuse both. When I bought the socket for the Lower Ball Joint nut I also went ahead and bought a new cotter pin to replace the broken one.

I have the same car and when I’m trying to put the axel in there’s this metal bar going straight down or what it looks like but I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be there or if I messed up bad

Does the transmission have to be in neutral while doing this or does it not matter?

It is advised to replace the axel seal when you replace CV axels... They get worn in to the previous diameter... If new is smaller it may leak...
Mule tape or steel cable .. Wrap a couple times at splines of axle next to trans seal. Then run ends thru the opposite sides of the center hole of wheel rim. Tie or secure together giving you about 18 inches past rotor... Once secured swing wheel away from the axle.... Should pop right out
