Your welcome to come see our no till organic operation, I’m in N Central IL. Regen organic is a great thing.
I’m on 12 row everything for organics and considering getting camera row guidance. Wondering if you have any experience with them and what’s your thoughts, thanks
I personally haven’t ran our camera guided Hatzenbichler 5 sweep that has a camera guided hitch. Ben said it runs awesome tho, the hitch works very good on hilly farms and makes it easier to maintain a consistent amount of dirt into the rows. I’ve talked to people who farm pivot farms and they are 110% worth it on pivots.
What are your transport dimensions on those cultivators? We run the Moore built bars but they are very wide. Interested in if those are better
I can measure next time in next to one, the John Deere’s from my experience are super wide compared to some. I’ll definitely get back to ya!
So learning about orangic farming, why don't you use finger weeders etc? Just curious
The equipment that we use works the best for the soil types and crop that we plant, also we don’t have a set rotation of when, and what cultivator, tine weeder, rotary hoe, flamer, etc during the season. It’s more whatever will work the best in the field. With that being said we do try to hit everything a couple times with each implement. Sorry if that doesn’t cover your question. I plan on doing more videos on “why we use the equipment we use” and “what we have found works best for organic row crop farming” in the future.
How many acres are organic.
Everything we farm is either certified organic or is transitioning to organic.
Are you virtuous? What do you do onto your neighbours?
