I commend you for doing it now, but come out and admit that for years you didn’t refurbish the vast majority of your consoles and still sold them for huge mark ups

@@randomDisinformation13 we all know its bs marketing they claim but in reality they wont & never do, the thermal paste statement says it all, they dont do it, there are new unboxing IF they cleaned them properly and out of 10 consoles, only 1 had thermal paste reapplied.
cant argue with the part "they open & clean every console" since technically open them up and blow into them for 0.1 sec is cleaner than b4 & considered to be "cleaned"

It's one thing to say something and it's another thing to do it. It's easier and quicker to say that you do something than to actually do it. Quality is important, so please actually refurbish the consoles instead of only checking them if something is wrong and please replace the thermal paste.

For DR Mario on NES, look for a Famicom (top loader possibly?) And the famicom version. Japanese imports are cheaper, plus still run on NTSC/60 HRTZ like American consoles/games. And Dr. Mario doesn't need reading, so no language barrier.

genuine question why are your prices so outrageous? I would love a detailed explaination, but I'll settle for a short answer. Wondering because I've found many of the consoles and games you sell for half, sometimes a quarter of the prices you sell them for on marketplace apps

well, some day, dk oldies made a false advertising on their own website in which says the console was refurbished but after that a youtube channel made a video about this but he noticed that the console was not refurbished at all whatsoever, which that means dk oldies made a text saying that the console was refurbished but if was not refurbished whatsoever and dk oldies just made this text on the website just for lying people.

"unbeatable 1 year warranty" - yea like everyone else offers, some even longer. Thermal paste replaced? - another lie, we got proof of that already, the consoles were cleaner than before but no new thermal paste was applied.
Even if you are doing it now, we KNOW you weren’t doing it in the years before. There is evidence everywhere that you weren’t.
If you just admitted it and committed to being better, you would get back SO much respect, even if not all of it.

My PS2 console wasn't refurbished, you guys outright scammed me...
Opened it up, and it was disgusting, also tons of screws were missing. Not to mention the dirty controller you sent me defuq.

They didn't clean out consoles that were explicitly labeled as "refurbished/cleaned" a while ago and the internet dogs on them for it, they probably don't do that anymore (I mean they probably do a good job now,) but the internet loves to pick on people and in this case rightfully so, but I think it's been over a year and people are still brutal
This is what I don't understand about Jurassic Park, the 1st one for the SNES. Why is there two T rex in the game? And if, you go to the east forest, and you'll get a message saying that Alan is careful around the blind corners. T rex is FREE!!!! A long time ago I had an old nintendo power magazine And It showed Jurassic Park SNES Where the t rex is chasing In front of the Visitor center I saw it in a Old nintendo power magazine as a screenshot!!!! One more thing If you use the game genie code called Walk through walls on Jurassic Park for the SNES Go to the east forest And go inside the gate And if you go where the T rex will come out If you keep going inside The trees With the game Genie code called walk through wall You will actually fall into invisible Wall of water If used the Game genie code called walk through walls.

As a junior technician, still seeing videos where DK Oldies could have taken off the front cover of a PSP that had a scratch and easily repaired the product is ridiculous.
Even the whole aspect of an "acceptable" vs. "Good condition" is ridiculous.
Acceptable meaning that DK oldies didn't even take the console apart and good condition, meaning that they did take apart the unit and still try to charge exorbitant fees!
It just feels bad giving that they are giving good technicians a bad rap.

You're not the best place to go lick. You have this major problem with you a kohlynn. You have refurbished the consoles search up refurbished consoles definition. They had to be taken apart clean service rethermal. Face new everything, pretty much. Anything broken it's newspaper replaced.

But im still a fan of them because the games and consoles they sell are great
Regardless of what people say about the DKoldies brand, they have a good marketing team and a lot of their prices aren’t bad anymore.

No their prices are still bad.... I just bought a Nintendo 64 with controller and a game for 110 usd. And DKoldies is asking 185 usd for an n64 with no games but two controllers which are probably thirdparty too.
Nah it's still bad. In America I got a fat PS2 for 60 dollars and it's stuck with me for 5+ years, I was in Japan and got a ps2 slim for 30$ and has the best disc reading speed I've ever had. Both came with controllers and AV cables. Dkoldies comes with cheap knockoff controllers and are significantly more expensive. The best selling console in the world should not be that expensive
