    Ah, you're back. Thank God or who ever. It was way too long. But I assume you've had your reasons. Now I just sit back with a drink and enjoy this episode. Cheers and greetings from a Dutch guy living in Thailand. Loved it. Your eye to detail is absolutely great. I was so in to it, I forgot my drink 😂.

      Thank you for your patience. I also want to take more time to make and upload videos often, but things don't make me do that.. I'll try harder.

      @@A4Garage If trying harder means you get into trouble or with your mindset. Just don't do it! Your physical and mental health are much more important. And for us it's 'just' a very pleasant pastime.
      But the thing is that your work is so outstanding and mesmerizing to watch for me and others that we sometimes don't have that patience. Just take it easy and look after yourself. We'll see soon enough when we get the notification. Take care my friend.

    You sir are a master! This series makes me smile with the detail, as my first car was a 1966 Mustang and I remember all those little details. I'm truly amazed at your talent. Thanks for sharing this build and I continue to look forward to the completion.

    I have to say what everyone is thinking,
    You put more into the rear view mirror than most put into a whole kit!
    You need a stronger vacuum…
    And we all want to know who is the artist behind all these masterpieces?
    BRAVO SIR!

    I’m envious of your mad gluing skills, whereby you can casually take a part with glue on it, such as the rearview mirror mount, drop it from above, and it sticks the landing and stays exactly where you intended it to stay. Had I done that, it would have ended up in the engine compartment.

    • @Scott-eats-world
      @Scott-eats-world Před 29 dny

      Never mind the contests, there’s little point as I think it would almost be considered unfair to the rest of the modelers.
      These works are museum quality, but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn they ended up in private collections rather than on public display, sadly.

    I was wondering what was happening with this build. Once again, anyone else would have painted those window frames or at least peeled off the paint where the tape stuck down in the wrong place... but no, you have to do it right. I did feel your pain smashing the windshield, but you did a helluva job making the new one, that was class. Anyway, it's looking fantastic as usual.

    I understand that people use acrylic floor wax to fix cracks in clear plastic. With the amount of modifications you do, I'm surprised you don't buy two copies of the same kit to have spare parts available. It probably would have been cheaper and faster than molding a new windshield. Anyway, glad to see you back. Great work as always.

    • @A4Garage
      @A4Garage  Před 27 dny +1

      It's because the windshield is broken, but another reason is that there is a lot of gap between the windshield parts of the kit and the window frame. Thanks!

    I have done a bit of vaccu forming. I have a small dental machine. You want the framing around the piece to be slightly larger that the base where the holes for the vacuum are. This way you get a better seal around the part and it is more likely to suck around the part to creat a new windshield.
    Also having a taller base under the piece that is a bit smaller than the original part helps the plastic to suck down around it better.
