    After searching the google, I have discovered that the brand I used in the video Inkodye by Lumi has been discontinued and bought out by the very popular dye company Jacquard.
    Therefore, although the brand names are different, the solar dyeing concept is exactly the same. I tried to find all the colors I used on Amazon - the easiest way to give it a try is the starter kit that comes with 4 colors.

    I love your kitchen! Lots of great tips here for experimenting with solar-activated dyes. I had questions about achieving pastel colors which you answered beautifully for me. Also, I'd never heard of the brand you used. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Happy holidays and a happier, healthier, more prosperous 2022.

    Kari, I love them! The art supply store for one of my daughter’s colleges has a huge assortment of fabric dye types and colors. I may need to go and give it a try.

    Looks great. 3 questions.
    1.Do you know if it's color fast?
    2. Do you know if bleach will lighten it? I'd like to enhance the lighter areas.
    3. Do you know if the sun will continue the color process after you finish your cross stitch project?

    • @Gmrking91
      @Gmrking91 Před 2 měsíci +1

      1. Yes
      2. No It won't
      3. Mildly in prolonged sunlight possibly yes

    Thanks for sharing Kari!!💚 Love the look of dyeing fabrics - but I don’t know if I can handle the mess. 😬 I’m that mean mom that disallows glitter in the house. 😂

    • @pennysdaughtershares8227
      @pennysdaughtershares8227 Před 3 lety

      @@TigerLilyDesigns Play doh was almost disallowed. My kids had some for a little while - but could only use it on the kitchen island counter - and therefore could be cleaned up. But I also talked them out of getting it out at all many times🤣

    Due to age and health, looks like aida and I will be bff's! I am getting ready to experiment with coloring and am curious...have you tried acrylic paint with a fabric medium? I am going to play around with that first.

    • @TigerLilyDesigns

    This was sooo interesting to watch. when you showed the pale baby pink and said there is a bit of purple here, maybe from my gloves - wouldn`t that be COOL to intentionally wet your gloves in a contrasting color and then do your „arranging on the board“ for a different color with the „drips“ from the gloves???!!!
