      @@thegawdtheynotlikeus The only defence argument he tried to make was right near the end when he tried to bring up product recalls for that model of car.... basically he tried to blame a stuck throttle. However this was AFTER he'd tried to cast doubt on if he was even the driver for the entirety of the proceedings up to that point. He also made no mention of a stuck throttle during his initial interrogations after arrest even though he made statements that effectively admitted that he drove through the parade.

      The feed I was watching cut out for a second, what I noticed most was that it seemed the judge may have misspoke immediately afterwards as to the count and verdict being read.
      I don't know exactly what happened I missed about 00:45 of the feed and it seems she was on count 2 then mentioned count 3 briefly and then we went on to count 4.
      Edit: this clarified things.

    The brief amount of time the jury was out, tells me one thing. They sat down, did a vote, everyone agreed unanimously on the first vote, so 98% of the time was spent filling out the documents and eating dinner.

      Seems to me as the verdicts got read out, he was basically forced to come to the realization that this was 'it' and he would no longer be able to try and talk his way out of this. He slowly started coming to terms with knowing he would be spending the rest of his life behind bars. I don't think he was thinking about anything else other than that. No remorse for anyone but himself.

I'm sure they spent time making sure they were marking the paperwork correctly - easy to mess up with over 140 forms (2/count - g or ng).

      99% of the time was probably taken interviewing the jurors over the reddit post. I dare say the judge will give him the maximum sentence. No court will ever consider an appeal after his bs, and I doubt any parol board in the future will be bothered with him either. Good. I don't think he's going to find prison pleasant.

    I found it despicable when he mentioned getting a letter from his 9 year old and how hard it is for him to explain to her what he did YET he didn’t acknowledge the 8 year old who will never get to grow up or write letters to anyone. My heart goes out to the Waukesha community and most especially the bereaved families. May you find strength, peace & healing.     That man that hollered out spoke for the whole community. For loved ones lost, recovering and everyone that sat through Darrell E. Brooks stalling and thinking he was so smart.       76 charges. He will spend the remainder of his life in prison. They made the right decisions. He really needed an attorney even though I really don’t see how the outcome would differ. The only thing they could have done to help him was negotiating a deal to soften the blow but I doubt he would have accepted a deal because he’s a classic narcissist incapable of accepting responsibility for his behavior.

    Their mind was made up when the jurors left the courtroom.
    It took time to go find through 76 charges and sign off on them.
    Brooks is exactly where he belongs.
    A side note.
    I got a chuckle when he asked that the electronic ankle collar be removed for sentencing.
    He jumped bail twice already. What was he thinking?

    I never want to imagine going to a parade of any kind only to see their loved one ran down and killed by a mad person. Absolutely heartbreaking, the trauma, and pain. My deepest condolences to all who lost a piece of your heart and life that day. ❤️ 🕯 🙏

    Just before this video began, DB actually asked if his “shock” shackles could be removed. That fool actually thought he’d walk out of there a free man. That creature is a true monster. He is the live “boogeyman” in the nightmares of those children he rode over. No child should have to endure that type of pain and terror. He acted so quiet during this video. Of course, we all remember how he acted during the victim statements. Rolling his eyes, clapping his hands, motioning for them to wrap up their statements…..no remorse for any victim. He can talk about his belief in God, carry his bible but no one that knows God would ever act that way. He is not mentally ill. He is a truly evil creature.

      The defense attorney gave me the death stare when our verdict was read and we were polled. We were out 5 days. I’m sure she thought it was going to be not guilty.
      I stared her down. She broke first.

    76 charges, the jury deliberated for 3 hours. That's 2 minutes 20 seconds deliberation per charge, or about as long as it would take for everyone to say 'guilty' and for the foreperson to sign the verdict sheet.

      @@curtconn8149 I pray 🙏 in this instance the counseling already helping community, will extend counseling care to jurors. The judge needs a break at a spa. She dealt w him while pregnant. Probably dreaming of a stiff drink daily. Actually imo she is a fierce woman. A force to be reckoned in a courtroom. He will get auto appeal- denied . No mistrial for him. Her patience, while seemingly appeared weak . Judge Darrow assured that there will be no mistrial. She put honor above her personal feelings.
