This is not a storm Brunswick nor hammer motiv ball review bowling ball video
Anyone got any wireless iPhone microphone recommendations? Audio’s been pretty hit and miss with mine lately
I've seen the RODE Wireless GO mics as a popular choice.
Comica CVM-WS50(C) Lavalier Wireless iPhone mic.
SYNCO G2(A2) 2.4G Lavalier
Microphone works well for me 👍👍👍
maybe its just some settings with the current one? would defiantly go rhode go if you get a new one.
The ball weight didn’t throw him off his game, talking to his neighbor did 😂
My thoughts exactly. I saw it coming
That's why coaches don't talk to players in tournaments except for cheering up😭
Anyone who's spent a lot of time in an ally knows not to talk to someone approaching 300.
@@JerkyMurky yep usually everyone just goes dead silent and no one within 3 lane pairs will throw a ball which is somehow more distracting
What neighbour , didn't see any
I love how you say "carry" as the 20lb ball approaches the pocket and then the pins explode.
I'm scared of how easily he uses that 20lbs ball 😂
That's because it's only 15-16 lbs 🤣
@@TheBowlerClinic proof?
@@cernox8326 I was mistaken, I didn't realize he filled it to make a custom ball 👍 carry on 🤣
@@cernox8326 but 20 lbs are not that heavy?
@@Kaasoflee13 dude what it's not about lifting its about being able to properly bowl w it
Great bowling either way. I was rooting for him to get that 300. But I knew as soon as he started having a conversation with the other guy that it took him off his game.
When you start with 9-in-a-row, you don't want to talk to anybody... Been there.
It wouldn't have been a real 300 using a non regulation ball though. I don't see why he'd get attached.
@@pepperypeppers2755 What makes a ball regulation? I don’t bowl
@@dutchstallion8518 16 Pound Max
@@pepperypeppers2755 look everybody, It's the guy who can suck all the fun out of the room!
I normally throw a 15 lb and was doing some messing arounds at the lanes yesterday and grabbed an 8 pounder for the kicks. I basically tripled my rev rate while not losing a lot of ball speed. Then it would hit the pins and the lack of mass meant a lack of momentum so it just kinda bounced off. It was so weird, but also understandable.
Pretty impressive. I figured weight difference would wreck mechanics/muscle memory. Bravo.
First bowling video I’ve ever watched on CZcams. Good stuff!!! After the first 7 strikes with the 20 lb. ball I thought, “geez, how many 300 games does this guy have?” Looks like a lot! I don’t bowl much, but I’m a subscriber now.👍🏻👍🏻
Great job and you do a great job with your channel. Very real and you show the average bowlers how hard it really is to become a great tournament player. Keep working and love the content.
Awesome video as always Michael. Ive been a fan for while now since there was 1 to 200 views per vid. Here we are with over 3000. So happy for you man. You make really fun and creative content about something us bowlers love. And, I am very new to the sport. I've only been taking bowling serious for one year. So when I found your channel I fell in love. Great stuff my friend. Wish you the best. Do a collab with Darren or something to boost your numbers and you can become huge with some help from the algorithm. Plus, people coming over from Darren's channel. It can really help the numbers. Much love.
Thank you Michael! Me and Darren plan to collab when I go out to Vegas in November
michael thanking michael, put the obama awarding himself meme
So damn close. Remember the rule. Never speak about 300 until you actually hit the 300
That 20lb ball is a fcking truck 😍, it's so satisfying to watch all the pins getting carried down
The pin action & power of the 20 lb is insane. The 8 lb was struggling. Cool video, Thanks. Rock on 🤘😎
The problem or lack of control could be with the 8 ball, when you play with two balls of different weight.
that helped the launches with ball 8were wrong in their reference
I used to bowl back in the 80's competitively with a 16.4 pound ball and that was the biggest at the time you could get. So the PBA increased pin weights to counter that. 20lb ball is insane.
I guess they legalized the use of plutonium for the construction of bowling balls.
Incredible score, very cool video, I wondered about the weights and impact
What you did in the 10th frame on that 300 game is what I do on my 1st frame of my 300 games.
😂
I just love how nice he is to his neighbor.
You make it look SO easy FFS.
Beautiful to watch.
You should get a high rev 2 hand bowler to throw that 20lb ball Would be interesting to see what they could do with it and the crazy pin action that will occur
nice video, surprisingly the heavier ball is more effective than the less heavier in terms of spinning and impact to the pin
Holy sh*t my man, you throw so consistently it's insane. This is coming from a guy who only ever played Junior Varsity bowling for all 4 years of high school. My freshman year tryouts, my average was like 60. I only got on the team because we didn't have enough others try out that year. Even at the end of senior year, I averaged around 110ish. My best game is a 186. I understand the fundamentals and how you're supposed to do it, but with the way I throw, consistency isn't easy for me. My coach said I have a "helicopter arm." When I throw, it's not a straight back and straight up into a handshake position, my arm goes behind the back. He tried to fix it by having a pool cue under my arm and telling me not to drop it, but I couldn't do it. I just had to adapt to it. Funny thing is, I now work with my coach from high school at a factory in town.
Great video!! 💪🏼
Imagine being this good at bowling
and all the beer you drink to get there
And it would be awesomely hilarious to see a particle ball from the mid to late 2000s modified to be 20lbs. It would destroy everything in sight.
Nice video bro keep up the good work
That's quite a feat switching balls like that being two extremes and bowling that good with each.
I know I was really surprised
Thanks , great demonstration
I miss being able to bowl, great seeing someone have so much fun with it.
I love watching that 20lb ball go down the lane. It's like a Mack truck speeding down the highway. Slow to get started but once it picks up nothing can stop it. Get it to the pocket and there's no chance of not striking.
You should join an unsanctioned league and throw this ball, use the 8lb ball for spares. Then maybe you'd be the 250 avg bowler.
yeah it's oddly satisfying to watch. That being said, I think it fatigued him a bit since he missed his last few with the 20 lb ball
My spine is two solid rods from top to bottom. In order to bowl I had to go to a 12lb ball. I've found if you hit your marks they'll all work pretty consistent when you figure it out.
Bro lost focus talking to the neighbors I was clenched up hoping for that 300 lol 🔥
Are they made with safe performance stock and with the same drill holes? I bowl a 180 with a 14 lb plastic, I needed something that could go straight. I would like to know if you can recommend the best bowling ball for 12 lb. I have a terrible pinky finger and a bad back. I used to play with a 15 lb. and had a 198 average. I am still determining to get back to bowling but I have to get a light ball that give me the best reaction for a 12 lb.
I low key wanted to see the mph on the first throw with the 8 pounder. After the 20 pounder, I thought you might hit 20+ mph with the 8 lol. You could also do a bloopers with this where you throw the 20 pounder, then on the first shot with the 8lbs just loft it into the pins.
Dam I was hoping for that 20lb 300!! Great vid man!
buddy got nervous trying to show off to the old man with an 108 lmao
So close bro. Anxiously waiting for that 300 with that 20lb monster.
I would want to use a bowling ball with different weight what would be better to pick up a spare a heavy ball or a lighter one
8:24 _"He blew it"_ In Mike Wurme's voice.
What mic did u use for this? I need to know what NOT to buy
I really wanna try out a 20 since I have a naturally super high backswing and have trouble slowing my speed down. Of course wrist cupping would probably be non-existent.
I love this test. That 20 lb ball just throws pins everywhere.
Damm bud, awesome bowling!!
NeXT time you should do 10(12) frames of each ball, not switch in between the two. That should make it easier to ”remember” your shot. Great vid tho!
Love the explosions on the pins with the 20lbs
I'm curious as to what the speeds of the balls were. I'd imagine you couldn't put too much on the 20lb just cus of how heavy it is.
Imagine a sanctioned league where you have to change ball weights every other frame. Common use to 8 lb. That’ll add a dope dynamic to the game.
I normally use a 6lb house ball should I upgrade to a custom 8lb?
I actually did this same test over a week ago, but I used a 16 pound ball and 10 pound ball the heavier ball was always more consistent
My kind of content. Keep it fun...FIRE !!
Is the mic worse this video??? Any way, liked the video! Great content as always!
A full rack of pins is 35 lbs. 20 lbs. is 57% of the total weight of a rack of pins. 8 lbs. is only 23%. You could measure your speed and rev rate of each weight to make it very math nerdy cool. Good job 👊
I wonder if the weight once it hits the outside oil gives it less of a chance for a snap back to the pocket than a 15 pounder.
Best demonstration of how weight equals more pin action which results in more forgiveness down the lane!
Quick question but how do you manage to get a bowling ball in 20 pounds when the regulation size is 16 pounds, I watch this video plenty of times and ask myself that question but overall I like how each bowling ball performed considering the 8 pound is 12 pounds lighter than your 20 pounder you throw
We made it lol
@@220avg that’s awesome
Where do you get a 20 pound ball? I thought 16 was as heavy as they come?
I suppose that this goes to show that a talented bowler can play with anything and still do well.
Picking the heaviest ball always seemed like a flex to me. The lighter the ball, the harder and more accurate I can throw it. Can manage a few strikes a game. I need like a kiddie ball. Or candle pin bowling I do well. But a heavy ball I get nowhere. Cant even hold it with my fingers in the holes. I can swing it, get some momentum, but it’s much more effort for far less result. Usually get a gutter from fatigue using heavy ball.
I've yet to see any ball manufacturer make a 20 lb. ball. The heaviest they make is just over 16 lbs. so when it's drilled it ways 16 lbs. or less for it to be legal in certified league bowling.
there are lots of impressive things that happened, but I like how you called the 69 pins of handicap and that wound up being pretty close
Nice xbox mic lol
Might be even worse lmao
More like goodwill
If you can throw a 8lb 191 then you can bad mouth the mic.
@@AimAssistAvenue I’ve thrown a 6lb 183 can I bad mouth it?
@@xyarbro4167 yeah let’s hear it lol!!
What weight do you normally throw?
I threw 16 lbs through my late teens and early twenties. So many taps that were mystifying. In my 40's I've found 15 lbs to be the sweet spot. I can throw with more accuracy, at the expense of less pin action. Shot 714 scratch the last time I played sanctioned league. I'm still hunting that elusive 300.
I like 14 I can get a little more speed and not sacrifice any other quality much
ive only tried 16 a few times but it feels really off for me. i also bowl with 15 . 30y 2hander! :D
I've only bowled with a 16 since I was 15, I'm 60 now. I thought that was the heaviest ball that you could get. 🤔🤓🍻
What a game brotha ❤️
So close 😔
Where can we purchase a 20 lb bowling ball like that?
1:29 “Come on! Get it! That’s what I’m talking about!!!”
Randy Pedersen, 2007, PBA Pepsi Championship, Ryan Shafer got a messenger.
How much did it cost you to have that custom ball made?
that static noise is indeed in the video. Its not your headset dying i swear
Oh man that tenth frame! I thought this was gone be the 300
Yo idk if I’m pretty dumb or what but can someone tell me what shoes he’s wearing in this video?
How many years have you been bowling? You talk about knowing about bowling and working out. I assume you have done both for a while. When did you start bowling, and when did you start taking it seriously and practicing and working on your game, instead of just for fun?
Still amaZed how much you can hook those t zones 😂
The fart sounds when you mess up 😂😂😂
What is the 20 pound ball...who is the manufacturer, and model?
How'd you figure that handicap? I haven't bowled since I was a kid but I got 200 a few times with a 10 pounder so I guess I should have really bowled 250 right? lol
Just checking, because I haven't bowled in a while, but 16 lb. is still the max legal weight, right?
That person next to you screwed up your perfect game lol
Dude just casually chucking an 8 lber to crush my best game ever lol
the neighbor guy is going to start practicing this way thinking it is some kind of pro tip!!
I love the audio bro
How’d you get this bowling ball?
That NFL game in the background was Dolphins @ Raiders. On August 30th, good times!
You should try a game with that 20'er bowling Ron Swanson style (Straight down the middle, no hook, no spin)
Another great video sir :) How about a one handed-no thumb on the next one? :)
As a 1h thumbless bowler I would love to see your take on my style. Not a lot of us out there. We aren't cagle rare but still
How did you make they ball 20 lbs since they don’t make bowling balls more then 15.8 lbs?
Yo, I was just thinking this. When did they start making 20 lbs balls ?
I like this premise, but I’d play 2-3 games straight on each ball, & take average or a best-of-series from both. It’ll let you get a rhythm going, for science :)
Those were some great scores. Out of curiosity, where is this bowling alley at?
Delta Bowl in Antioch CA!
@@220avg Thanks
How do u determine the handicap
You are a real good bowler switching that big a difference in ball still throwing strikes. I thought I was a ok bowler but not compared to you. Great job
I haven’t bowled for over a decade. I kind of miss bowling with my old trusty combat zone bowling ball (16lbs). But I have my deformed fingers from bowling to remind me the good old days.
Ever since I started bowling league, the thought of not alternating lanes gives me anxiety.
Just curious what is the reason for leagues alternating lanes?
@@ACommentFromCZcams I wasn't entirely sure so I looked it up. For the same reason football or basketball teams switch sides after quarters, for competitive balance. As each lane can have slightly different shots for a number of reasons. .
@@tonyrauls1941 thank you!
Ay was that at delta bowl in Antioch if so I bowl there almost every day
Where can I get a 20 lbs ball
Was considering buying an 8lb brunswick twist, after watching this might have to reconsider getting a heavier ball
Great video.
you’re just a beast
20 lb ball huh? Where do I get one of those!!???!!! Lol. Although I'm probably not man enough to handle one!
Thanks for doing this video, it was interesting.
Serious question , why aren’t you on the tour ?
Me after listening to this mic:
Yea could I get a Big Mac with a large fry extra crispy, and a large coke with light ice?
Oh wait, this isn’t McDonalds?
The ultimate arsenal: 20lb for first ball, 8lb for spares.
Are you using the 20 pounder for your bowling ball workouts?
I went back to my regular workout equipment cause nobody seemed to really care 😂
Can you recreate this video with someone who plays with an 8 pounder? I feel like it’ll yield better results. Love what you’re doing bro.
Just curious, I haven't bowled in quite a few years. Did they change the rules? I thought 16 pound was the max weight?
IT IS. tHE 20LB IS ILLEGAL IN SANCTIONED BOWLING WORLDWIDE.
