- At the Winspear Centre and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, we have so many reasons to be thankful, and the ability to share the power of music is at the top of our list. In fact, we’re so grateful for you that we’ve prepared a special Thanksgiving treat: a recording of “Sonate pour Harpe,” performed by the ESO’s own Nora Bumanis, ESO Principal Harp.
"I was always intrigued by this piece. Each movement tells a different story, which is different each time I hear or play it. Our concertmaster, Robert Uchida, asked me one day if this piece was in my repertoire. It wasn't but I had always wanted to learn it, so I did!"
- Nora Bumanis, ESO Principal Harp

This is really nice. I enjoy Nora's harp playing very much. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving. Cheers! #MusicConnectsUs ✌️🇨🇦
Beautiful and absolutely enchanting. Thank you!
Such a fan of Nora’s and she shines in this piece! So beautiful and reflective for Thanksgiving! What a treat! I’m thankful for this music! Bravo! ❤️👍👍👏👏👏
My arthritic fingers watched your nimble fingers with amazement. I have never heard a harp solo before, and I am glad you offered this! I would love to see the musical score! I used to play piano and I am curious if the strings are similar. To see the instrument from up close was a treat - something you can't see when seated in the Winspear Concert Hall balcony. I closed my eyes, and listened, after looking intensely at the visual details of this production, and this rendition was so interesting and soothing, for me. Thank you.
