  • Who wins? Who cares? Which is right for you? Why I switched from being a Garmin fanboy for the past 7 years over to the Apple Watch Ultra 2.
How long will the battery actually last in the real world? I find out in the below video.

I am in the same struggle myself, having both watches as well as a Withings Scanwatch which I love for being really close to a real watch experience while still having silent alarms and notifications on the wrist. When the AWU wins my heart again, I am not gambling about battery anxiety. I bought a cheap used Apple watch 5 that I wear at night while charging the AWU. Your last question is the most important: having clear why you are actually tracking stuff and adding that screen to your wrist is key. Thanks for the video!

Solid video I totally disagree with your three days of activity with an Apple Watch, including sleep tracking. Very unlikely that you’re getting 72 hours, but most people exaggerate their Apple Watch battery results. Outside of that solid, video and looking forward to more of your content.

I'm a fan of what I'm seeing with the apple ultra, but I'm in the Samsung world....which leaves me with the upcoming Samsung Watch 7 Ultra....or a Garmin. Depending on what I see in the upcoming Samsung release, in two days, I might switch to Apple.

Have you ever used the maps and navigation on Garmin and the ultra 2?

I have and I found them both much the same really, my main thoughts on the mapping are that the screen just isn't big enough. But hey, you can't have everything right?

Great take on the 2! Was on the fence between AU2 and Epix.
Went Apple since I’m already integrated with my iPhone and pods.
    Nice wall candy btw

I have owned a Garmin Epix Pro 2, loved it, rugged, loved the torch but it was too much data for my needs. I then owned the AWU 2, gorgeous display, unlocked my Mac automatically, paying was easier, talking to it to set timers, replying to messages, absolutely brilliant. I just got sick of charging it every 2 days, I didn't understand all the metrics e.g telling me I had a bad nights sleep when I actually felt really good. I'm not an athlete I don't care about my cadence. I sold both devices.
I now own a Casio GW-M5610U - This is perfect, rugged, tells the time, timers, stop watch and is always spot on with the exact time because of the MultiBand 6 feature. I will probably look again at the Apple Watch next generation when it comes out in September but for now my life is peaceful and cheaper!

A good old fashioned G-Shock style watch, now you're talking! Love that.
Currently testing the battery of my AWU2 in the real world and will post up the video when the watch finally needs recharging, all I will say, currently, it is lasting longer than I thought it would...

You are not wrong. They are wrong. Maybe most of the time
