Have never seen a mullet hit a lure, that was crazy.
Grady Browning looked as if the lure snagged some brush then snagged the mullet. The bar mullets on the other hand

I watched your video last night of you and ur gf fishing out of the kayak. Made me go put my kayak on the roof and chuck a couple zmans in a bag.this morning in 2 hours got 7 flatty. 1 keeper and dropped a big one.. cheers for the inspiration mate!

You can remove that red pocket out of the hatch. Go to Bunnings and buy some adhesive industrial Velcro. Place the velcro together and peel off one of the adhesive covers and stick to the bottom of the tackle box. Then do the same to the other strip and stick to the inside hull of the yak. This will stop the tackle boxes from moving out of reach in the yak and easy to axcess.
Think about some leashes or a float for your pliers as well. Another enjoyable vid. Cheers mate, BobbyB.

With the rapala ripstop you were using, try twitching it more and sweeping it less. Anyway good video Briggsy 👍😁
diggin the yak fishing. to hold the yak in the shallows get a 3m alloy spike and put it through the scuppers into the sand. easy stow on the the side of the yak with the bungees. MMD splash prawns r the shit for the shallows u like to fish. cheers.

Casting distance is fairly average and action in the water is a bit different. Caught a squid with it surprisingly then switched to the double clutch
Top water bream is my fav type of fishing. My record is 8 hits before a hookup!
They make the sickest sound when they eat off the top.

Yo Briggs, I use the Rapala ripstop where I live in middle Sweden for redfin perch. You can either slow retrieve it for basic action, but it has to be pretty slow. However, my favorite way is to quickly jerk it, then leave it for a sec. When I leave it after a jerk and let it sit, it actually moves backwards a bit, i think because of the wierd lipped tail. Not always an epic lure, but when it is bit, almost always BIG big :) Cheers, keep hammering

Have you ever used a PE0.6 setup for SW, with a size 1000 reel, and a ultra-ligth rod, with max casting weight up to say 10g? It would be really fun to chase those breams from the kayak with such an ultra light set up and tiny rock fishing lures. Nice and fun video, thanks for uploading. The kayak looks awesome. Cheers!

I was interested to see what you thought of the Ripstop. I have a couple in different colors and I've had good luck with them. That being said, highly erratic action, quick stops. I enjoy fishing them.

Mullet get really big, i cought a 17" mullet on a jerkbait in florida. Theyre filter feeders, but i guess some go rogue, become monsters lol.

Some really big lizards live along the deep edges of the rock walls.
caught about 7 mullet on soft plastics in the Nambucca river recently. The BIggest went 50cm. I think they will grab a lure when there is enough around competing for the lure. I made a video of it!

For top water bream I like to do a quick pop pop then give it a long 10~15 sec pause
