Excerpted from Pink Martini's live 2021 concert at Edgefield in Portland, "And Then You're Gone" is a popular original song for Pink Martini, first heard, sung by China Forbes, on the band's fourth studio album, Splendor in the Grass. In recent years it has become a staple in Storm Large's performances with the band. Co-written by Thomas Lauderdale and Splendor in the Grass producer Alex Marashian, with China Forbes and Derek Rieth, the music was inspired by the first movement of Franz Schubert's lovely Fantasie in F minor for Four Hands D940. Thomas and pianist Hunter Noack, creator of the acclaimed "In a Landscape: Classical Music in the Wild" piano series, treat the audience with an extended opening duet of the Schubert work, at this concert, to open the song.

Yes, as Liliana also mentioned, the intro/overture was the opening section of Schubert's Fantasie in Fmin for four hands. The song is also familiar, it sounds very much like something by Charles Aznavour (with different lyrics of course), but I can't place it.

ровным счётом ничего не изменилось..
есть нюанс в исполнении, с моей точки зрения он -,, нюанс,, оправдан текстом песни и ,, стилистикой,, выступления певицы.
Постараюсь, насколько это у меня получится, описАть ,, дЕйство,,,...
в середине выступления певица продолжая петь резко сгибает правую руку в локтевом суставе и столь же резко левую руку кладёт на локтевой сустав правой руки ,,, получается,, неприличный или оскорбительный жест-зрительный зал на мгновение шокирован, а затем... раздаётся всеобщий хохот и шквал аплодисментов!
Прекрасный актерский ход, оправданный в конкретной ситуации.
В предложенном для просмотра видео Сторм Лардж не ,, рискнула,, повторить вышеописанное движение рук.
Не стану предполагать почему?

Good ear! That's already in the description but well done identifying it by ear alone. They actually did a whole bit about it when they introduced the song at this very show but the intro was just too long and had to be cut from this upload.
