Most of these guys clearly aren't professional fighters, but this feels more real than any other fighting sport I've seen
This is not true all of this game have backround in boxing, mma, etc.
some of them are champions, fighting without gloves is very diffrent because you're harming your hands more then your own face

Yep, hence why professionals use gloves of various sizes. Boxers a long time ago would constantly have broken hands.

Pre queensberry, boxers had very long careers with lots of fights because you cant hit like this without the wraps, you punch more carefully and accurately ensuring the right knuckles make contact rather than just your fist because your hands without wraps, are a mess of small bones.
Full props to bare knuckle championship fighters but its not literal bare knuckle of the early 1800s.
The real damage is done to their brains. You are watching guys cut their life expectancy in half because of serious brain trauma. Barbaric is the only word that comes to mind.

They probably respect fighting more over there tbh seeing as bare knuckle boxing looks to be accepted. They probably have a culture around it and take hiring and disciplining refs seriously. Also it probably helps to have a ref that’s big enough to kick both of the fighters asses
I agree generally, but I think in the 4th fight, "asteroid vs samurai" the ref should have stopped it properly about a minute earlier. The guy was taking a lot of punishment and looked all done and without any foreseeable way back. Should have been stopped at about 5:58

He switches to slaps in just the right time to use the surprised of the extended reach, then continunous slaps to the sides to land a solid slap to the ear, only to finish with a muay thai like fist stance that focuses on straight forward attacks. He definitely put a pace that the opponent couldn't adapt to in time, before having to deal with a new fighting style. These guys got real heart and it shows

7:10 I was glad to finally see a fighter that recognized the importance of body shots. Only takes a few to really knock the energy and power of your punches out of you. Most looked like a bunch of guys just swinging for the fences with no good combos, leading with jabs, or strategy (like the guy who was much taller than the one in maroon pants and didn't use his height and reach advantage to keep the guy from moving in on him)

Bas Rutten in pancrase. Liver shots were his specialty. And in pancrase you weren't allowed to strike the head with a closed fist. Bas Rutten would knock people out with body shots or open-handed palm strikes. Pretty insane (28 wins, 4 losses on his professional MMA record and inducted in the UFC hall of fame).
body shots are great in boxing but barenuckle (even though i know theyre important) its probably pretty dangerous to throw a lot, getting clipped on the jaw for spending too much time downstairs is a lot more dangerous here. Either way we agree, just a helluva sport

I used to live in Russia and I trained a very tiny bit in boxing and Judo. I remember sometime at around 2005 I went to watch the first "Pankration" match. It was pretty sick, and it is then I decided to not do any martial arts, at least not competitively.
The matches only lasted like 2 minutes max, everyone was in bare hands, and almost every fighter was either unconsciously escorted via wheeled stretcher or was all in blood. It was brutal af

The risks far outweigh the benefits which tells you more about their character. The sort you want in a battle.
The risks are lower however. Bare fist fighting leads to less traumatic brain injury than boxing.

There are only 3 rounds with 2 minutes each so theres no time for hugging but enough for aggressive fighting. The ref is one of the most respected in the Russian bare knuckles sport because he is professional.
I'm not a flake either I understand its fighting but people who are disrespectful when they win deserve to have karma hurt them twice as bad. I cant stand people who arent humble. Show the same respect to the person you beat that you would want when you get beat. People like that deserve their head caved in. Everyone will lose one day if they dont retire first. Crisp and clean striking. No rolling around the mat for 10 minutes, clinging on the fence, or stupid hugging contests. I love that ref, and the rule set. The moment it looks like it culd de-volve into a grapple, he separates them. And the ring is so smal you cant run away from the other guy and play the cardio game. You need to fight it out. He's stiff as fuck and those hooks look weak, but goddamn he hits on target. It almost looks like the other guy is diving. I can't tell. If a guy came at me with those punches I'd melt him. And I'm talkin' boxing, nothing else. It doesn't look right. The other guy is dodging like a pro... And then he takes a knee to a slap? It just doesn't sit.

Посмотрел полный бой. Там на замедленном и вблизи съемка была. Это именно не зубы летели. Но не отрицает того что состав подвинулся. Но парень встал и ушел на своих. Аж отлегло на душе.
