Hey there, Eclipse! Yet another great video!
I'm one of those players who couldn't possibly care less about getting Marks of Excellence, or what my win rate is, or where my WN8 stands, or really *any* of that statistics stuff... I play WoT console *solely* for the fun of it. I derive a great deal of pleasure from just cruising around the various maps and blasting the hell out of enemy tanks! I realize, of course, that I'm setting myself up for a veritable torrent of derisive comments for my views on the game... but frankly, I couldn't give a rat's ass about all *that* crap, either! Each of us has our own reasons why we play this game, and no one is in the position to say who's right or wrong.
Now, I said all that to say this: Even though M.O.E.s aren't my thing, I still found this video quite interesting and very helpful, indeed. I love watching you play; even when you kick yourself for screwing up, your worst games are generally much better than my best games! After several months of watching every video you've posted, I still find that I learn something every time! And for that, sir, I sincerely thank you!
One last thing... in yesterday's video, you mentioned that you plan to acquire the AMX 50 B in the near future, yeah? Nice! I've had mine for at least a couple of years now, and I love the mobility and the 4-shot autoloader with 120mm pain! I never thought of putting a "ram build" on it and using it in that way... and I can't wait to see the vid where you show us how to use that puppy in that role!

Totally with you on how you approach the game Mr Bad C. I am pretty much the same way however I do mark up a couple of tanks just cos you can. On the flip side the folks that Mark their tanks need players who will get out front and degrade the opposition, to make them more hit-point conscious. Nothing slows a players pace than being tracked a couple of times and having their health dropped by two thirds. I don’t yolo by any means, but I’m not saving my paint-job either!

I have marked a couple tanks... wasn't trying to, and didn't even know that I had marked 'em until sometime later.
I wasn't condemning going for marks; just saying that I play for fun... at least, what I consider fun.
As far as actual in-game play style, I'm fairly aggressive in general. Not a yolo yo-yo by any stretch, but I do tend to move about the map. I try to employ real-world military tactics in as many situations as possible... which is pretty rough given the current player base. I scout, I hunt, and I damage or destroy any and all targets of opportunity.
Not a super unicum like Eclipse, by a long shot; currently rated as a "good" player with four years and 32,000+ battles in WoT console.
I'm an old man, a great-grandfather well into my 60s, and frankly, I occasionally feel a little silly playing a toy tank game made for little kids and adults much younger than me.
But I just freakin' *love* killing the "bad guys," ya know?

Great vid as always Eclipse 👍 One thing I have noticed about 3 marked players is often the play style changes as you get higher in the tiers. Low tiers with 3 marks seem to be getting stuck in a lot more and tend to be a distinct advantage to your team. However if you are looking for your team’s 3 marked tier 10’s just look behind you!

Iv never really wanted to get marks and sometimes iv stopped playing tanks when marks appeared but lately after watching your videos iv started marking tanks and done it in a moral way lol .
Haven't got any 3marks on ww2 tanks as the ones I'd like to Im just not good enough yet. As era2 is screwed atm iv played era 1 just to 3 mark the m47 and now 3 marking the m46 and maybe once the tiger2 skin comes out I'll try and 3 mark that.
Marking is a fun personal goal that dosnt have to be done selfishly and once I realised that I really started to enjoy it .
The 4th marks will have to wait quite a while as for me 3 enough 😁

Very useful video. I kind of like grinding MoEs although it can ruin the fun a bit sometimes. I know my level, which is around 2 Marks. I have lot of 1s, many 2s up to tier 9. A few 3s up to tied 8. Getting to 100% is kind of beyond me I have to admit but useful to watch someone who can.
I found the game alot more fun when I started grinding for marks instead of just going out and playing
Watching this video makes me realize that I've done matches with all my stats with better in game tag and never got a mark. I feel robbed even more. This game really delivers a bad gaming XP 🤣

Not sure if it was my eyes but on the second play through video you started the game with 1/750 hitpoints put still full health bar 🤣 WG updated winning again. 👍🇦🇺

My marks all lost like 5 % my Chafee was over 90 % lol
Same here, all my dmg standing has dropped by 5-15%! My Chaffee has kept at 100% the past few years, but now I'm going to wait for a ±1 matchmaking event before playing it...

Great vid and well done on the gold marks . I decided the best thing would be if you could drive mine caus I cant get past 96 -97% and then I slide . Also my marks slip overnight which is a pain. Appreciate the good advice and the honesty , i do tend to help teamies to my cost mostly
I constantly hover between 94 and 87 on my tusk cause sometimes half of my team dies without taking a shot sometimes at a single thing I've lit up, so I do the aggressive thing and pop people in the ass with the durp gun until we lose lol
So to mark a tank you just need to play the same ? Cause i do really good games but i have no 3 marks and only 2 2 marks
I’ve managed to 2-mark the t-34 but since it’s a tier 5 I really don’t feel it’s all too much of a hassle to grind so it’s not really a big accomplishment. I’m still not sure on whether to just grind a tier 8 for the 100% marks or to just finish the t-34 before moving on. I have 1-marked a pretty large amount of tanks so it kind of makes it hard to try and choose which ones to prioritize. Should I finish grinding the t-34 anyways or try to start grinding another higher tier tank that I already have 1-marked?
If you've never 3-marked a tank before, hitting 100% in a tier 8 is a pretty unrealistic goal. As someone who's 3-marked maybe 15 tanks, my advice is to first finish 3-marking your tier 5 and see if you can achieve bringing that 95% to 100% in that low tier tank before considering trying it in a higher tier. Attempting your FIRST 3rd MOE grind at tier as high as 8 can easily ruin the game for you. It's not just a matter of persistence, I've seen players with 3000 battles in a single tank without a 3rd mark, so it's by no means an inevitability
@@PixelPusher1 makes sense. I one-marked my type 59-II after around 180 games so i can see where you’re going at. I guess I’ll see if I’m up for the challenge of getting gold marks with a low tier first before moving onto anything bigger, so thanks for the advice!

Just got 120 wins out of 135 games and 84 of these i got MVP.
And my standing barely went up. I've been slowly going up. But if I miss the dmg by a little bit I go down alot. Despite having all my last games above the dmg average. Not really sure what the issue is but these calculations must be messed up. Cause mine estimate me to be above 92 percent. But I'm stuck at 92.
I’m currently trying to 4 mark the type 59 and yes sometimes you have to play selfishly

I'm at a loss to find a picture showing four marks of excellence? What am I missing? Aren't you supposed to get four stars, or four stripes or something?
Four marks is indicated by the marks becoming golden. So the three marks turn from typically white to shiny gold.
Do HE rounds do more module damage to tracks (if no shot on the drive wheel).

Great, now you will see more heavies and med tanks camped around the spg's in the back of the map...I usually finish top 3 just by getting out there and slinging shells early

Yes the camera moves up and down when your on uneven terrain. It makes you dizzy
Why do I think that MoE is easier to get on console than on PC... That first gamr was total garbage with lot of mistakes and you said it was above average game...
Its no secret to MOE any tank. Do direct damage and assist damage(tracking or spotting). Simple as that.
