@@410Gregj that would depend on the original music he writes. It’s much easier to take something someone has already written and make it a little flashier than to write something yourself. I know he plays in a band and writes music but I wouldn’t use his covers vs the original artist to judge who can “play better”. We know they are both awesome, so in the end it doesn’t really matter
It's always impressed me that this dude can get several different tones out of his floor Tom and manages to somehow not sound stale or overly repetitive with a 3 piece. Skills my friends. This guy's got some.

Dedication, practice and hard work in his case.
He also plays with the original drums in the background slightly. Not cheating, but does help his sound. There’s some hits and tones that get more cymbals than he has.

Talent can be something you get randomly when you are a child (My talent is that I'm able to make perfect car's noises) but it can also be something that you gain by working and practicing a lot. This is the type of talent that this man has.
I’m not a musician but I really appreciate good music and talented musicians and I cannot believe the level of talent I see each time he plays covers. He is just beyond god like on drums. I thought Neil Pert was good, which he is. Then, I came across El Estepario and my mind is just totally blown each time I watch him play, and with a three piece kit. WOW!! What a drummer. He owns this completely. It’s even more fun to watch drummers watch him play and just lose their minds at how good he is.
