  • These fantastic old steam pump have been restored back to working order by a dedicated group of enthusiasts,if it wasn't for this group of guys these amazing pumps and buildings would have been lost.What a shame that would be,some of the buildings have decor as nice as a palace inside.
    Just amazing...Enjoy watching this video,the full length versions of all stations can be found on my channel.
    Why not visit them and admire there glory yourself.

      there are in fact plenty of young men and women volunteering up and down the country to help preserve our industrial heritage. I'm almost 20 and I've been running old mill engines and pumps since I was 14. It's not a common hobby anymore so you can never expect hundreds of people but there will always be enough to see that these places don't spiral into decay.

    I think Kempton is of similar dimensions to that of Titanic's engine, but one cylinder less. Titanic had four cylinders per engine and Kempton has three.

    These running on steam or do they have motors added to help the move without steam ?

    • @wooltman
      @wooltman  Před 8 měsíci

      As far as I know the big pumps are steam powered but some of the smaller ones could have some help from electric. To find out more information visit the websites, they should have all the answers you need. Regards Chris
