Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

I've taken about a dozen of Hillsdale's online courses. Wow! All are so good. This professor was one of my faves.
All of the literature are great, and I highly recommend the math course too.

    Two things:
    1) It's not true that the whole world can't be ruled. It's that the whole world can't be ruled for very long. There's always someone else waiting to take over... and they will.
    2) If you haven't seen them, look for Gustave Dore's woodcuts of Dante's Inferno.

The closest thing I’ve seen is an adult cartoon named Dante’s inferno. It’s sorta quick to the point in each layer and has its own way of expressing it. I understand watching a cartoon isn’t for everyone but I enjoyed it

I lied to my happiness as I cried in my sorrows. 😢
As my subconscious is at an unrest 25/8, Sitting back in a physical loneliness, trying to think of places were to connect, only to have failure once again. I find it very scary nowadays in public. Where Ignorance excites, and my anger arises to thoughts of the Holy angels. Communication is so discomBabylonationalism it seems, as some High school friends cannot communicate with the same language. Businesses speaking of a product best in the world, only to find it in A recall, because it was a package of deception. And then you talk to the professionals. our so-called leaders and teachers, that speak from the side of there face. One manipulation after another in mind. How can I profit off this. Another cry from the lost soul. I lied to my happiness as I cried in my sorrows. What have we done to this world. And who will and can bringing children into this world, as it is only gonna get worse. As you see the demons using scripture. They prove them self right to the unlearn. A cycle that will have an end.
And my only thought that I sit back and “relax” on is, my place of a spiritual connection, where I can learn how to🥰😇 is and will always be 😇“ anyways, come Lord Jesus” 😢
I always find out, With you, I am not alone With my Salvation. 😇
    I love your Spirit 🥰😇
    Thank you Jesus. 🤗

The satan is the wisest 1 of the demons and it knows how to romanticize itself to form a human like compatability to us so as to gain our sympathy and friendship. And foolish men usually do fall for this.Through music, poetry, and art-even the paintings of the old masters. In reality he is a beast of the worst order and changes colors like a chameleon in order to co-exist with mankind without our knowing. He lives covered in rats for they are the only creature that doesn't mind living with a being incapable of recieving the love of Christ.

While I love to learn the classics and applaud Hillsdale for for teaching this. I personally do not need to read Dante's inferno to understand Satan and his personhood. All I need is to read the Bible and look around at people, they all follow their father the devil. It is obvious to anyone who believes!

Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

There is only one sin. Ignorance. The one Evil is the perpetuation of ignorance. The only Good is the journey towards Understanding contained in both Science and Art. Being scared of pre-History shadows is the recipe for failure as a species. You lost your car keys because you didn't know to take care of them. Go.

@@mikwcas5110 How can a child grow up to be apathetic or malicious? Serious question. Would being ignorant of the right ways of bringing up 'prototypical' young adults be a factor?
I have dug quite deeply into the human genome and it has a 'design', which we could argue about (origins, features, etc.), but it did create a species that went out from a single place to conquer an entire planet. In loin cloths and using fire-hardened sticks. Ask a modern youth to do that and maybe a handful would survive.
I also can't find reliable proof that we are genomically different from those early explorers, all the differences can be explained by alleles and selection.
      Cheers.

Adults who don't care if they steal can certainly have been raised or were just born that way. And there certainly are children that have no empathy and grow into narcissist's or worse psychopaths. The lack knowledge one way or the other probably affects these types of people little to not at all if it even mattered in the first place.
