Ar:piel is an MMORPG fighter where you take the role of high school students at the Bestia Institute who need to save the world by using their beast powers. Those students possess not only the skills, but even traces of personality and appearance from their guardian beasts - be it a snake, a squirrel or a dragon. Our cooperation with rock band Messgram continued as more beastly students were being added to the game and fans who got used to Arpiel's quality did not only look forward to new combat experience or deep background stories, but to powerful new theme songs as well. Blue Trace is a character theme song created for Lysia, a scythe wielding warrior with dragon traces.
Messgram was founded by its 5 band members in 2011. While they continue their rock career and festival tours, their work with Necord started from Yua's theme song 'Silent Scream', then soon after an opening of the Anime 'Arpiel: 6 Destinies', the song ‘As if today was your last day’ and so on. Today, their music is an essential part of the Arpiel franchise.
Dragon type Lysia looked different from other humans ever since she was born and soon suffered from exclusion and discrimination. Therefore, she grew up in fear and hiding behind adults - a trauma that lasts to this day. Still, she manages to bury her sad memories most of the time and tries her best to be a strong , forward-looking girl. In Blue Trace, Lysia seeks to overcome her past experiences of facing hostility for no reason or not belonging anywhere, while the voices in her head keep torturing her with questions about who she is and why she is different. The song opens and ends with these voices, while in between Lysia grows strength, screaming against them.
