I remember as a kid, being naïve enough to think that battlefields were prepped and civilians evacuated before a mutually agreed start time to "open fire". I was confused and asking teachers at school for days the first time I saw combat footage that featured fleeing civilians. I couldn't comprehend why they didn't take the bus out of town before the "deadline".
the terrible truth ist that civilians are not just victims because they are 'in the way'. Often enough they are the target. It is a common strategy in war trying to break the will of the citizens so they pressure their govenerment to give in to whatever the attacker demands. Military ofc. doesn't admit this usually

Well, airstrikes are often done in sweeps not singular one off shots, unless they're using bunker busters or something as you only really need one of those to be effective. Two jets from one side, two others circle in from the other side, both launch attacks when in position. 5th hit was likely made due to one of the jets offset in approach to the rest. Had more time to target and fire.

To the right of the building, notice the police cars blocking the street. They knew this building was going to be demolished from the first "knock, knock" tap and thus were given a chance to evacuate it and keep civilians away.

You see police or something cornering off the street to the right of the building they knew it was coming down, although sadly hamas often forces people stay in their homes.

That was a "Warning Rocket" that hit the top of the building, it basically says you got 5-15 minutes to evacuate the building before its coming down.
At least they do a small strike first to give people time to get out of the building before they totally destroyed it.

The most incredible thing is that this type of weapon is designed to demolish buildings and reach the bunker. The projectile hits the roof at supersonic speed, crossing the 15 floors or in some cases they fall inclined directly to the foundations or the bunker located below the building, so.
